Chapter 13:

I looked up at him and smiled backing away, "oh sorry I didn't know that was you Lou." I said. He came closer and said, "Oh its ok I don't mind a pretty girl like you against me." He winked and I went weak and managed to stutter out, "But you have a girlfriend." He smiled noticing my change in body language and speech. He knew I like him and knew that he was making me melt and wanted me to come closer. "I know that relationship isn't real." He was smiling evilly and I felt his hands on my waist. I quickly got out, "Well I like Luke." He looked at me and backed off. "What for? He was rude to you." He said. "I know but he apologized and explained everything and I don't know I like you both." I said confusingly. He started to say something but got quiet as the others came out and joined us. I looked down and got out and walked inside and went upstairs. I put on soffee shorts and tank top. I walked out onto my balcony and closed my eyes and put my head on the railing. All of the sudden I couldn't feel my balcony underneath me anymore. I slowly opened my eyes and I was floating. "What the hell?!" I said out loud freaking out and realized I could fly. I remember the night Scott and I kissed how he preformed the spell. "It was only half a spell though." I said thinking and I flew off to experiment with my powers. I was gone about  2 hours and had mastered the whole flying thing and found out I could move things with my mind, and my eyes change color depending on the power I'm using. If I'm flying there the sapphire blue color, if I'm moving things with my mind there a greenish blue. I was scared and wished Scott was here to take it back. I felt like a freak and wanted it to go away. I loved that I could fly though. I arrived back home and landed on my balcony and looked in the mirror. My eyes were changing back to my normal bright blue turquoise(ish) color. I walked downstairs and everyone looked at me and Luke said, "So that goth kid made you do witchcraft huh?" he sounded really mad. "First off his name is Scott and he didn't make me do anything it wasn't witchcraft. Why are you saying this?" I said thinking they saw me. "Louis and I followed you upstairs and saw you start to float and then fly away. You did something Brittney." Luke said looking at me disappointed. I sighed and sat down, "He asked if I wanted him to activate my powers cause apparently I had them, and I said I don't know and the next thing I knew he was putting a black robe on me. He read half a spell and he said my powers are so strong that it didn't even take a whole spell. I don't know what's going on." I said almost in tears. Lexi and Crystal hugged me. "Babe were all here for you. Do you really think this changes anything?" Crystal said and I looked at everyone's faces. They all smiled at me and Luke came up and kissed me. "So show us what you can do." Luke said after the kiss. I was hesitant but they all wanted to see. I nodded and looked at a book on the table my eyes turned greenish blue and the book flew off the table. They looked at me and all said, "Whoa." Then the dark sapphire color flooded into my eyes as I floated up and flew around the living room. "Whoa that is so cool!" Ashton said smiling. I smiled and landed and my eyes changed back to normal. "Yeah but I'm not gonna use them unless necessary" I said and sat down. "Okay well it's late we should get some sleep since the funeral is at 10 tomorrow morning." I sighed and told everyone goodnight and walked upstairs. I heard footsteps behind me and smiled, "You shouldn't be following me." I said. I turned to reveal Louis and he smiled and said, "I just want to ask you a question." I nodded and smiled. "Okay shoot." I said leaning against the railing. "Can Eleanor come live here with me?" he asked smiling. I thought about it and didn't really want her to move in. I didn't like her that much but I couldn't say no to Louis."That's fine love." I smiled as he jumped and hugged me. I continued to go to my room and opened the door. I looked at my balcony door and noticed it was open. "That's strange." I whispered. I walked over to the door and went out and froze as I saw something I wish I never had to see. I screamed as loud as I could and started crying. I fell to the ground and heard footsteps running up the stairs. Everyone burst through the door and ran to me and in seconds I was in Luke's arms. I screamed and cried more as he started to ask what's wrong he gasped and realized why I screamed. My dad had committed suicide on my balcony. I looked up at Luke's face as my vision started to blur and then went black.
