Brittney’s P.O.V.

I sat laid down on the couch and sighed closing my eyes. I heard a noise and opened my eyes and saw Scott. I sat up and smiled, “hey scott.” He smiled and said, “what are you doing here?” he sat down next to me and I looked at him. “how are you sitting down and not just going through?” I said looking at him. “I can touch everything except people. I have to get a little bit stronger till I can do that.” I looked at him and leaned in and hugged him. I could feel him and I didn’t go through him and he could wrap his arms around me. “How did you do that?” he asked and I smiled, “I’ve been doing my research and it said people with the 6th sense can see ghosts, feel their presence, and touch them. Basically it’s like being a human and a ghost except I don’t have ghost powers. It can only happen after the person has seen the ghost more than once.” I said and he just hugged me again and said, “oh my god it feels good so hug you again. I miss you so freaking much babe. You have no idea.” “oh yes I do Scott.” I said hugging him back tight. I smiled and looked at him he looked just like he did when he was alive. He didn’t even look like a ghost I didn’t understand. “I just wanna lay here all night and talk. Luke stopped talking to me and I don’t know what to do.” I said looking down. I felt his hand pull on my chin and make me look at him. I looked at him and he said, “told you he was no good for you.” I nodded and looked down. “Yeah but I know who is.” I said thinking of Louis. He smiled and said, “Yeah if I was still alive your heart would be mine.” I smiled and nodded knowing it was true. Even though Luke drives me crazy I still love him. I laid down on the couch and closed my eyes and Scott cuddled me to sleep. It felt amazing to see him and feel him again but I kept thinking of Luke the whole time. 

Luke’s P.O.V.

I watched the door of Brittney’s balcony for the rest of the night. She never came home and I never went to sleep. “Luke bro you need to get some sleep. She will come home soon I promise.” Ashton said standing in her doorway. I looked at him and said, “no I’m not moving or sleeping until she comes back.” He shrugged and went into his room. It was 3 in the morning I knew she wasn’t coming home tonight, I just hope she is somewhere safe. 

Brittney’s P.O.V.

The next morning when I woke I smiled as I saw Scott’s sweet face still asleep. I poked his nose and he opened his eyes, “do you mind?” he said laughing and sitting up. “thanks for cuddling me last night. Knowing I wasn’t alone really helped me get some sleep.” I said sitting up with him and he stroked my cheek. I shivered and held his hand, “sorry I’m still getting used to the fact that I can see and touch you.” I said smiling. “so the day you were shot, why did you jump in front of me? You could still be here.” I said and he looked at me and held my hand tighter. “well then you wouldn’t be here and I couldn’t live without you. You’re my best friend and I loved you, you were different and I couldn’t watch you be killed. I told you I would protect you even if that meant getting my self killed.” He said smiling and looking into my eyes. I smiled and leaned in and kissed his lips. I felt a tingle and felt like I was kissing air but I knew it was his lips. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I closed my eyes. “woah..” he said after the kiss was over. I smiled and said, “well I better get back the girls planned a birthday party for me today.”  He smiled and hugged me, “oh yeah happy birthday Bri." He said smiling and I hugged him back and grabbed my bag and flew home. I landed on my balcony and looked at my door. I had left it open and it was now closed. “Well so much for being back before they noticed” I thought. I opened the door and went into my room closing the door behind me. I saw Luke asleep on my bed with my phone and necklace in one hand and the other hand on my laptop. “oh now you care about me?” I said rolling my eyes and grabbing my phone. “ill take that thank you very much.” I said pushing him out of my bed and onto the floor. “What? What’s going on?” he looked up at me and said, “oh thank God your home.” He hugged me and I pushed him away. “Don’t even! You’re such a jerk I can’t believe you. Just go sleep with your little whore and leave me alone. I’m done with whatever this is.” I said and walked out of my room leaving him in shock. I walked down stairs and everyone ran up to me and hugged me. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITTNEY!” lexi and crystal said. “Thanks babes” I said smiling and hugging them. The rest of the boys hugged me and wished me happy birthday. “ok lets take you outfit shopping cause your party is tonight. The boys will stay here and decorate.” Lexi said pulling me upstairs with crystal. We past Luke on the stairs and I just glared at him. When we got to my room lexi looked at me and said, “is everything ok?” I looked at her and smiled, “its my 18th birthday of course everything is ok. I just told him I was done with whatever this is and basically broke up with him.” I said putting on some shorts and a Hollister shirt. They nodded and I put on my shoes and went downstairs and grabbed my keys. “Bye boys we will be back later.” I said as lexi and crystal kissed harry and niall goodbye. We ran out the door and I drove us to the mall and went to my favorite dress store…David’s bridal. I know it’s a wedding store but they have amazing prom dresses and formal ball gowns and semi formal dresses. I found the perfect one in the matter of 5 minutes. It was a mid thigh strapless turquoise sparkly dress. I fell in love with it and ended up getting it. I also bought some silver heels to wear with them as well. The girls told me they wanted me to dress up and they were going to be wearing dresses to. Lexi bought a dress exactly like mine but in red with black heels. Crystal bought a dress like Lexi’s and mine but in neon green with silver heels. We checked out and walked around the mall and went into my all time favorite store…Hollister.
