chapter 31

Brittney’s P.O.V.

I smiled as I woke up and saw a rose lying on the pillow next to me with a note underneath. I picked up the rose and sniffed it and picked up the card and read aloud, "Follow my instructions and you shall find me<3" I smiled and turned it over and it said, "Something old. Go to our old hang out place." I got dressed and went downstairs to grab my keys and drove to the park. I walked to the swings and there was another note taped to the bottom it said, "Something new. Go to our new favorite cafe." I got in the car and drove to Debbie's Cafe. I walked in and the manager Debbie smiled and walked over to me, "Here you go darling. I hope you know what kind of man you got cause he sure is a keeper. congratulations honey." she said hugging me handing me a note and walking away. I was really confused but didn't think anything of it. I read the note and it said, "something borrowed. A new kitten you want? fine meet me at the pet store." well ok Luke I said leaving and driving to pet-smart. When I arrived I didn't see luke just the lady who worked their holding a kitten with a blue collar. "Are you Brittney?" She said with a smile. I nodded and she handed me the kitten and said, "Your boyfriend came in earlier and said to give her to you." I smiled and took the small orange and white kitten. "Thank you so much." I said smiling and looked at the collar and there was another note attached to it. I took it off and read it, "Something blue. Sorry baby I just remembered I bought you some shoes but left them in the arena come and meet me there." all these clues seemed so familiar but I didn't think much about it. I dropped the kitten off at the house and drove to the arena. No one was at home so I just guessed they were enjoying the day off. I arrived at the arena and walked in and looked around, "Baby you here?" I said getting no answer. I walked onto the stage and saw a rose and note lying in the middle. There was rose pedals and candles spread out all over the stage surrounding the rose and note in the middle making a circle around them. There were also purple Christmas lights strung from the ceiling everywhere. I smiled and looked around walking towards the rose and note. I picked them up and read aloud, "A silver sixpence for your shoe and..." I looked up to see Luke walking to me and stopped in front of me looking me in the eyes and said, "A ring to prove that I love you." I looked at him confused but gasped as he pulled out a little black box and dropped to his knee. He opened the box to reveal a diamond ring with a silver band and said, "Will you marry me?" I started crying and nodded my head fast and said, "YES! YES LUKE I WILL!" He smiled and slid the rind on my finger and picked me up spinning me around and kissing me. Mike and the rest of the boys came out throwing him a headset and he put it on. Music started and he started singing Wanted by Hunter Hayes to me and grabbed my hand. He put my other hand on his shoulder and his other hand on my waist and began dancing with me as he sang to me. I was crying still and could barley see to dance so luke stopped two-stepping and put his hands on my waist and my around his neck and swayed slowly. He was looking into my eyes and I saw a few tears form and fall down his face exploding with happiness as they hit the ground. When the song was over and he stopped singing to me he wiped my tears and held my face as he kissed me passionately. When the kiss was over he looked in my eyes smiling  and said, "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
