Chapter 14:

The next thing I knew I was waking up in the hospital. I opened my eyes slowly and saw all the boys and smiled as they hugged me. "Oh my god Brittney we thought we lost you." I looked at them and sat up slightly. "What happened?" I asked quietly. Then I remembered and they handed me an envelope with my name on it. It was in my dad's handwriting. I opened it and started crying. It  said, "Brittney I'm so sorry I have to leave you like this. I didn't feel right for not giving you the life you deserved and I knew it was to late to change. I felt so horrible and disgusted with myself when I realized what I had done to you these past years. I love you so much baby girl there is the rest of my money in the safe. The bank account has money in it too I'm sure you can survive with us being millionaires. Please live on and enjoy your life I love you sweet heart." Love dad. I read it out loud and was crying but wasn't crying as much as I thought I would be. "I'm so sorry Brittney." Lexi ad Crystal said hugging me. "Thanks, but surprisingly I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. I don't' know why." I said as the doctor walked in. "Well you're awake. You had a panic attack last night and passed out and we kept you here over night." He said and then I jumped out of bed, "Wait I've been here all night what time is it? SCOTT'S FUNERAL!" I said. The doctor put his hand on my shoulder and laid me back down. "It's ok calm down it's only 8a.m. The funeral is at 10. I'll go get your paperwork and then you can leave." He said smiling and walked out as a nurse came in to walk me down the hall. I got my stuff and left to the lobby and signed some papers and left. I rode with Lexi and Crystal as Lexi drove us to the house and the boys followed me in my car. I got home and went to my closet and pulled out my black dress and black shawl. I got dressed and then put on my black heels and curled my hair and put on my make up. I went downstairs and Lexi  and Crystal were dressed. "What's going on?" I asked them. They smiled and said, "Were going with you to support you. The boys are staying here." I smiled and hugged them. "Thank you." I said and walked out to the car. We rode in my car and I drove up to the church and when I got inside I went and sat in front with scott's parents. Lexi and Crystal got to sit next to me as well and they were there when I needed their hands to hold. When the slide show came on I cried even more, there were so many pictures of me and scott. My favorite was the one we took at the park he was sitting kind of laying down and I was behind him with my hands on his shoulders leaning over and smiling. I also loved the one where he came up behind me and kissed my cheek and I made a surprised face. Every picture we took was cute and I missed him already. When it was time to go up to the casket I cried and put out best friend necklaces in with him. I walked out to the car and we all got in and went to the grave site. It was in the cemetery next to the hideout. I cried and got to throw a hand of dirt and then went to my car. I gave Lexi the keys and said, "Drive my car home I'm gonna walk i'll meet you there later." She nodded and they got in and left. I sighed and walked up to the hideout and opened the door and looked around. I remembered all of the memories, we would come here when he was trying to hide from his parents or police. I would come here to hide from my dad or just anyone in general. I cried and smiled one last time around the room and left. I took one last look at the house and began to walk home. It started raining, "Great." I said. Why does it always rain when something bad happens? I looked around pulled my shawl over my head and began to fly home. I figured flying would be faster and it was. I arrived and opened the door to find everyone missing. I went upstairs and looked in their rooms and couldn't find them. "Hello?" I said as my voice echoed through the house. In the back yard maybe I thought as I went downstairs and opened the back door. I saw everyone sitting by the outdoor fireplace roasting marshmallows. They were all smiling and then Luke came up to me and wrapped his arms around me. "Lexi said smores always cheer you up so we made a fire for you." I smiled and said, "aww you guys are sweet." I said and hugged everyone. "well I'm going to go change out of these wet clothes." I said walking inside and going upstairs to my room. I heard footsteps following me and I turned to see louis. "I'm just going to call Eeanor." He said with a smile and winked at me as he went into his room and closed the door.
