Chapter 1
My heart was pounding fast, as I turned slowly I could have sworn that door knob turned. Beginning to think and hope it was just my imagination, but then again I wasn't so sure. Getting up from the couch with candy wrappers and popcorn kernels falling to the floor I started to walk over to the door. I was shaking now as I walked to the room my parents never let me see I didn't understand why, but there is a mystery to that room and I didn't realize it till now, but I was about to find out. My parents were gone for the night on one of their date nights they have about every weekend, so it was just me in the house, well just me and whatever was in that room. I finally got to the door, "Is anybody there?" I asked as if someone would reply holding my breath waiting for an answer I opened the door.
Looking around I couldn't tell why my parents were so scared of ever going in this room. I mean it's just a room what's so scary about a room? As I walked in I felt a cold rush and the door closed behind me. Now I was terrified. With my imagination running wild I knew I wasn't alone. The thing is I have a pretty crazy mind, but being in a dark room you tend to think of some pretty scary situations like if I really am in the presences of a ghost. Now I wasn't sure if it was a ghost, but ghost or not I'm getting out of here!
I tried and tried to open the door, but sadly it was locked, "you will never get out of here!" I turned around and saw a man with a dark cloak floating above the floor. I froze I couldn't move. Every inch of me was slowly getting colder every cell in my body wanted to run, but I knew even if I tried I would have turned in to a statue. Suddenly it stopped just like that. I could move again and even though my half my brain wanted to find out what that was, the other half said run. So, I ran to the door hoping and praying it was unlocked, but no. The man in the black cloak floated to me, "go away!" I screamed but he just kept coming closer and closer chills ran up my spine.
The man with the black cloak was inches from my body now "who are you?" I say in a whisper he told his name was John the keeper well was the keeper. What did he mean was and keeper of what? John backed away so I could breathe the chills were gone to. I had so many questions for him so I started with "why am I here? What did you mean by was the keeper? And keeper of what?" John sat down on the old chair still holding my gaze, he told me that he needed me to help him, he was the keeper but now I am the keeper of the most powerful sword in the world. Why am I the keeper? There is nothing special about me "I don't want to be the keeper!" I screamed, but John said that it's my destiny.
John gave me the sword and it was glowing.
"Oh no!" I heard him say.
"What? What does that mean?" I was worried and confused at the same time plus my eyes were wide open from shock. I was flying!
John is flying next to me "it means you have to fight them! The demons I mean they want to escape the underworld, but you need to stop them." He explained
"Why me? I know you're probably going to say because the sword was glowing, but I need a better answer then 'the sword was glowing."
"They want to rule the world but they can't do it without the sword." He told me.
As we came back to the floor the demons were starting to come from the floor and I was in a war zone. I fought as hard as I could and won with johns help I flashed back in the room thinking it was over I tried to open the door again, but it didn't budge, john appeared in front of me "why can't I leave this room?" I asked
He didn't answer me in shock I started thinking I'm trapped. I'm going to die in here. My parents will never find me again. I tried the door one last time and it opened. When I finally got out there was more demons waiting for me. Oh great! I thought will my night ever be over? I realize any normal person would be probably traumatized at this point, but I guess I'm just too annoyed at this point to be scared. So, John and I fought them all off and won again "John, am I done? Really am I done this time?" I was a little scared hoping he wouldn't say no. Waiting for an answer, I glanced at the clock, nine-o-clock still? What did the time just stop or was it not working?
