The whole way there I could feel the presence of the Link kid close behind me. I tried to just ignore it, but I just couldn't take it anymore.

I turned to him. "What?" I asked, annoyed. "Nothing," he replied with a smirk. I raised an eyebrow and turned back around. Kill me now.

It took only a few minutes before we got to the house. The house was huge, it looked to be about two stories tall. Who lived here and how did they afford this? If they're anything like Jeff, I'm assuming they couldn't hold a job for very long.

From the corner of my eye, I saw the curtains draw back from a window in the second story. I looked over but before I had time to get a good look at whatever was at the window, the curtains closed. Jeff grabbed my hand and pulled me up to the front of the house.

"Now don't scream and don't say anything stupid. As a matter of fact, just don't say anything at all," he looked me straight in the eye, still holding my hand.

"When did you become the boss of me?" I replied.

"Don't get cocky with me."

"I'm the one being cocky?"

"Yes! Now shut up befo-"

The front door opened and a man in a jacket stood there.

"Woah woah woah hold up, what are we arguing about? And whose the girl?"

"That's Jeff's new girlfriend," Link-man-boy-dude smirked.

"No she's not," Jeff said and let go of my hand. This made me feel... sad. Why? It's not like I like Jeff.

Do I?
