I ran. I ran until I couldn't run anymore. I felt my legs collapse under me, causing me to fall into a tree. Or at least what I thought was a tree..

I heard someone chuckle. Looking up, I saw a horrendous looking face. This thing, whatever it was, had white skin with a leathery appearance, it's eyelids looked as though they had been burnt off. That's not what scared me though. A smile had been carved from ear to ear on this creatures face. Now that scared me.

I wanted to scream, but the lack of oxygen and dry mouth from running refused to let me. Instead I just stared up in horror.

"I think it's time for you to go to sleep, Sky" he said.

"Don't call me that. Ever." I relived the memory that I had just moments before.

A look of confusing crossed his face, but that look quickly subsided as he took a hit at me with his knife. I dodged it and rolled over to where my bag-o-shit was. I pulled out a knife of my own and slashed at his arm with it. I took that breif moment to grab onto his legs with mine and proceeded to trip him. I pounced on him, grabbed his hands and held them to the ground. I held my knife to his throat. He was strong, I'll have to admit.

He chuckled. "What's so funny?" I spat, pressing the knife harder against his throat.

He just shook his head and smirked. He looked into my eyes which caused me to look away. I didn't look away because I was scared of him. I looked away because I felt a slight blush come accross my cheeks. If you look deeply into his eyes, he isn't so gruesome really. Actually, he's kinda cute. "If I promise not to hurt you, will you get off of me?" he asked. I got up and turned around, just hoping he wouldn't notice my blush.

"You stole my target, Sky. Your mother was my target." And with that he was gone.
