The Living Sparks: Chapter 23

Ryen's P.O.V.

"Kiss me."

As soon as the words left my mouth, I knew that I shouldn't have said it.

She was dating someone, for goodness sakes!

 I saw Jaiden hurry out of the room, she probably thinking it was awkward.

We stood in silence for a while.

Then she slipped her arms around my shoulders and my arms went around her waist.

I stared into her beautiful eyes and tried to take in every detail of her face as I could.

The way her hair fell on her shoulders, they way her eyes sparkled, everything.

I pulled her closer to me, so our bodies were touching.

This was dream.

It had to be.

Our heads leaned in and our lips finally touched.

I felt this tingle go down my spine and I suddenly felt on top of the world. I felt the heat from our two bodies so close together. I took in the smell of her perfume and hair.

The world around me seemed to fade  away and it was just Dylan and I . That was all the existed to me.

I pulled her closer to me and closed my eyes.

 Her arms tightened around my neck.

We finally broke away from each other.

I smiled at her and she smiled back.

This is how it's meant to be.

(I need to change it now so the one and only for the story) JAIDEN'S P.O.V.

That was really awkward, I thought. I was standing outside the door. I was really kinda hoping that they wouldn't get back together. I paced back and forth. I was sure that Dylan noticed it but....

I looked back at the closed door. There was no way Ryen knew. He was always so clueless! He never would have noticed my crush.

I sighed and sank to the floor. My secret crush. On none other than...

Him.

He liked Dylan. That was obvious. I couldn't bring myself to tell him my feelings. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.

"Where's Dylan?"

I shot to my feet. It was Trey and Mike. I groaned inwardly.

"Where is she?" He repeated. 

"In there." I motioned to the door.

I went to open it, but I blocked his way. "I would advise that you don't go in there..."

I was cut off as he threw me into the wall. I sat dazed as the world spun around me. I heard the door slam  open and Trey yelled, "GET AWAY FROM HER!!!!!"

I jumped to my feet and shook my head. The dizziness went away slightly. Just enough for me to dash into the room.

Trey was standing over a bewildered looking Ryen. My heart started pumping faster at the sight of him, but I mentally smacked myself. No! He doesn't like you. Get over him.

I ran over and tried to pull Trey off of him, but he was strong. He threw me across the room. 

Ryen looked over at me and fixed me with a stern glare. "Go away Jaiden."

My heart dropped. "Wh-wh-what?" I managed to stammer.

"Go." He repeated. "I can deal with this myself."

When I stared at him, dumbfounded, he yelled. "I DON'T NEED YOU! GET OUT!"

I jumped to my feet and ran out.

Tears streamed down my cheeks and landed on the ground. 

I don't need you.

The words tore at my heart.

How could this happen?

The one boy I have ever let myself love and he doesn't need me.

I am not even equivalent to a friend to him.

Why?

Why had I been so stupid and let my heart out there for the World to snag and rip apart in It's sharp claws. 

I ran and ran and ran, until my legs could carry me no more.

He didn't need me.

He didn't want me. 

I ran to my dorm and locked myself in. I laid on the bed and cried myself to sleep.
