"Who told you what happened?" I asked George softly while I mixed the sugar in my cup of coffee.
He scratches his head, debating if to tell me or if to avoid the question. "John told me."
"John?"
"Yes..." I looked at him confused. "I was at a party with my friends, last year, and I saw him. He was drunk out of his mind when he approached me. Started speaking about shit I didn't care, but then he asked about you. He started laughing and mocking me, telling me how stupid I was for thinking that you had actually cheated on me. He said you were a nice piece of ass and," He teared up as he spoke, "we got in a fist fight." Joji replied, both hands firmly grabbing his cup.
"George, why didn't you look for me? You know where I live."
"I didn't have the guts! I felt like pure shit after realizing that we broke up because of my stupidities. And I'm so fucking sorry, Sarah Gates." I grabbed his warm hand, trying to comfort him as I rubbed his skin with my thumb. "And why didn't you come back to have your coffee here? I came here everyday, hoping to see you again."
"I didn't want to be reminded of something that I lost."
"I see..."
"George," I hesitated for a moment. "I need to tell you something."
He looked up at me with worried eyes. "Tell me, please."
"I'm... I'm seeing someone else. Someone I don't love." He grew sad, his lips curving downwards. "I thought you didn't love me anymore so I tried to move on even though I still fucking love you."
"Understandable." He replied, looking out towards the busy street. "I tried settling down with someone else, but nothing made me feel the same way you did." Joji grabbed my hand and stared at my eyes. "Sarah Gates," he got close to my ear and whispered, "be mines once again." His words sent shivers down my spine. My cheeks turned into a rose color as I stared into those brown eyes.
"Then make me yours once again."

Intimacy, Bodies touching, blankets covering, shared heat... After so many years, I finally felt whole again. His strong arms resting over my body as I caress his neck. Soft kisses planted all over my head. What more could I ask for?
Suddenly, I snorted at the thought of what I had just done.
"What's so funny, Sarah Gates?"
"I just cheated on Alex and I really don't give a shit." I answered as I got my pack of cigarettes and lighter from the nightstand. I handed one to George and place one between my lips.
"Well, no one night stand can do me like you do." George laughed at his comment as he exhaled the smoke out of his lungs. I smiled, taking a long drag from the cigarette.
"I love it when you call me by my full name, George."
"And I love you, dear."
"I love you more. Always have, always will." George let out a sigh and drifted into sleep.
For once, I felt loved; complete. I had everything I ever wanted right in front of me. I had my George back, and I wasn't going to let him go this time.
