tyler was almost fallen asleep by the time the two had made it home. josh gently pushed his shoulder, his eyes fluttering open and straining from the heaviness. he leaned up and off joshua's chest, stretching his arms out and yawning. he quickly kissed his lips before getting up, laughing when he heard josh yawn behind him.

"c'mon, we have to... talk, if you don't mind" he spoke hesitantly, the words having to force their way out as he was so reluctant to hurt tyler's feelings. tyler nodded, his smile tightening ever so slightly. but josh noticed, he always did.

tyler unlocked the door and walked in, remembering he was still wearing his boyfriend's jumper. he slid it off, folding it between his elbow as he walked upstairs, the faint thud of josh's boots behind him. tyler was too nervous, though, and would rather josh started the conversation himself.

he walked into josh's bedroom, setting everything down and climbing into the bed. tyler was surprised to see everything cleaned up and put away, usually it was hard to find himself if the room. it was unlike josh, but that doesn't mean it was a bad thing. at all. josh would have to do this more often.

the click of josh's boots ascending the stairs became louder, tyler just trying to make himself more comfortable. he pulled the blanket up and around his arms that were covered in goosebumps, and he hugged it to himself as josh walked in, putting down random things he was carrying.

he made his way over to the bed, signing tyler to scoot over a little. he obliged, josh smiling as he was half covered by his duvet, tyler cuddling into his side. he put his arm protectively around the taller boy, bringing him even closer to his heart. he kissed his forehead, staring down at the boy until he looked up and met his gaze.

"you know i love you, right? i know i've said it loads before but..." he paused, thinking up more words to say, "you... you need to know" he whispered, voice cracking. he kissed the tip of tyler's nose, his hands travelling and finding his, holding them tight.

"yeah, i know" he chuckled, bringing their intwined hands and kissing the back of josh's, bringing it to rest on his cheek as they stared lovingly into each other.  "you know i love you, right?" he smiled, biting his lip.

"i know" he sighed. he closed his eyes, taking in the moment of them together, warmth surrounding them. "can i... ask you questions?" he wondered aloud, not wanting to make tyler uncomfortable.

"uh, of course, i trust you" he chewed harder on his lip, feeling a little cut he'd created and pressing his tongue to it. he inhaled shakily, preparing himself for what was to come.

"do you think, like, do you think we're going to last? as in, our relationship, i mean" josh stuttered out, his eyes dropping down to his hand, tyler's finger wrapped around it. when a moment of silence passed, he squeezed his eyes shut, thinking tyler was going to reply in a negative way.

"of course, don't you?" tyler responded, his other hand on josh's waist, bringing their hips closer together. "i love you, and i always will, no matter if you share the feeling or not" he whispered, his head resting on the shorter boys shoulder.

"do you really? i mean of course i do, but, i don't know if you're lying"

"why would i lie to something so holy?" tyler smirked, seeing josh smile as well, feeling proud of himself. "but seriously, i don't really see us breaking up" he licked his lips, inching closer to the boy he loved.
