(This story starts when everyone has just dispersed from the barn. Please keep in mind that this chapter was going on at the same time as the last chapter before reading)

Inside decorations. That's what Chiba and Hayami were assigned to do.

"I don't get it. Why can't he just fly around at mach 20 and do this himself?" Hayami asked, searching around in a box for some decorations to use in the hallway.

"This is more fun, isn't it?" Chiba asked. He spoke frelly in front of Hayami now; she was the only one that had heard his voice this much. "Besides, who knows what kind of decorations Korosensei would put up."

Hayami giggled. "That's so true." she paused, seemingly looking at something in the box. "Oh my goodness! It's perfect!"

She pulled out a large wreath of... mistletoe. "We have to hang it up."

Chiba looked skeptical. "I don't know..."

"Please?" hayami made puppy dog eyes. Chiba smirked, letting up. "Yay!"

They began to hang up the mistletoe, deciding it would be best if one of them started at either end of the hallway. It finally came down to both of them tying the same pieve of mistletoe in the middle of the halls. They began to move, but then Karma wolf whistled. "Under the mistletoe, you two? You know the tradition!"

Both of them blushed, although it was more obvious on Hayami's face because her cheeks matched her hair colour and Chiba was kind of half-hiding behind his hair.

"I-I guess we have too." Chiba whispered.

"Y-y-yeah..." Hayami agreed, her blush intensifying.

"Sorry..." Chiba said, but before Hayami could ask what he meant, they were kissing. Karma was about to wolf whistle when a small hand covered his mouth. Okuda. "Leave them be," she whispered to him, "it's cute."

Chiba and Hayami were standing in that position for who knows how long. Hayami pulled back first, looking around. "He's gone-" she stopped her sentencce when she saw Chiba's bright red blush.

"Hayami... I've liked you for a while." he confessed.

"I like you too." she told him. His usually neutral expression began to turn into one of happiness.

"Really? You do?" he sounded like an excited seven-year-old that got the present they wanted at Christmas.(A/n See what I did there?) Hayami nodded before Chiba enveloped her in a hug.

"Well, we should probably carry on decorating." Chiba nodded in agreement and the two went back to their seperate sides of the hall, trying to make the inside of the building as festive as possible.

As soon as they had finished eating dinner and had gone outside, Chiba was restless. He knew he liked Hayami and Hayami liked him, but that wasn't enough. So, Korosensei provided them with the best opportunity to talk. Whilst slow dancing in silence.

It wasn't actually silent; the music was playing, but everyone seemed to ignore it and drown it out. Chiba was still blushing hard, even more so now that Hayami was resting her cheek on his shoulder. He wanted to ask her something. A question.

The question that would determine whether he would be happy for the rest of his time in 3E or miserable.

"Hey, Hayami?" he asked, watching her closely as she pulled back. She was so cute.

"Yeah, what's up?" she noticed his red cheeks. "Hey, are you sick? Do you need to go inside?" she placed her cool hand on his forehead. It made his face heat up more.

"No. No I'm not sick. I just wanted to ask you something."

She smiled at him. "Ask away."

He gulped, sucking up the non-existent courage and using it before the effect wore off. "Do you want to go out with me?"

She stopped, making him stop too. They were the only couple not dancing. Hayami's cheeks heated up, too, and Chiba felt the disappointment sink in.

"I'd love to." he knew she'd reject hi- wait what?

"Wait what?" he asked. She giggled.

"I said yes."

He hugged her, not wanting to move until Christmas was over and boxing day came. Maybe not even then.
