"Leave me alone, Rio."
That was the last thing he remembered saying too her. He regretted it now; obviously. He broke her heart and shattered his at the same time. He had changed since then.
He kept in constant contact with Karasuma, which was weird, seeing as he always seemed to hate the teacher whilst he was a student. But now the two could relate to each other on a different level. They had a gruff but mutual understanding.
It had been three years since he had uttered those words to her and she had turned her back on him, her eyes full of ushered tears, and walked away. With every step, both of them begged her to walk back to him and for them to forgive and forget.
But that never happened.
Three years.
Karma needed to go shopping. He was out of food for his new girlfriend, Sophia. They lived together now. Sophia was kind and timid. Sweet, shy, cute, short.
Not really the kind of girl Karma liked...
He walked into the shops, takig a trolley. He began to push it somberly through the aisles, wanting to get this over with.
Pizza, cake, noodles, ready meals... what else would Sophia like?
Karma was almost done when he spotted the cookies. He walked over to the shelf, ignoring the blonde girl reaching for the same pack in front of him.
Their figers touched and they looked at each other. Familiar blue eyes shone back at Karma. Her blonde eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, studying his face.
"Karma?"
"Rio?"
"Is it really you?"
"Why are you so short?"
Nakamura scoffed at that comment. "Oh please. I'm normal. You're a freaking giant."
The two chuckled. Karma reached for the cookies, handing Nakamura a pack. She thanked him quietly.
The two stood in front of each other, not really knowing what to say. "We should... catch up. Sometime." Karma suggested. "I mean, maybe. If you want." damn, he wasn't as smooth as he once was.
"That would be nice. How's Friday?"
"Friday's today."
She grinned. "Meet me at six outside somewhere only we know~" she quoted the song.
He nodded. "Well then... I should go."
"Yeah. So should I, actually. Bye, Karma."
"See you later."

Karma cleared his throat at Sophia, who was sitting on the sofa, on her phone. She looked up, a small smile coming onto her face as she saw him.
"What's up?"
"I... I..." why was he finding this so hard? He didn't have feelings for her. "I want to break up. I'm sorry."
Sophia blinked at him, letting the words sink in. "Oh."
Karma nodded awkwardly.
"W-well, I'll pack my things and-"
"Oh, no. Don't worry. It's your apartment. I'll go."
Sophia nodded, still not looking up.
"Sophia?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry."
She chuckled ironically. "I kind of saw this happening, anyway. You like someone else, right?"
Karma looked down. "Yeah, I do."
"Have a good life."
"You, too."

Karma walked up the steps towards the old 3-E building. Nakamura was waiting for him at the top, perfect as ever. She looked at him, then burst out laughing.
"When you said we would catch up, I didn't think I needed to bring a suitcase."
"Oh, that's not for anything like that. Actually, my girlfriend and I just broke up."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. It just wasn't working out."
Nakamura nodded. "So... what have you been up too?"
The two began to catch up on everything that had happened in the past three years. Karma's one year girlfriend Sophia, Nakamura's travel around the world, etc etc. They talked for what must've been hours, until the sun had set and the light was gone.
Nakamura shivered. "Damn, it's freezing. I almost forgot how cold this mountain can get."
"I almost forgot this was a mountain." Karma chuckled. Nakamura's teeth chattered.
Karma took off his jacket, placing it around her shoulders. She tried to take it off again. "Don't, you'll be cold..."
"I have a suitcase full of my stuff. I won't get cold. If I do, I'll get out a jumper."
Nakamura studied him for a second. "Fine." she finally concluded, slipping her arms into the sleeves and holding it close. It was still wark from Karma's body heat.
The two stood up after a while. "I think I should go." Nakamura said first.
"Me, too. It was fun." Karma offered her a smile.
"Yeah it was." Nakamur began to walk to the steps. "Oh; here's your jacket back."
"Keep it."
Nakamura smiled at Karma. "Thanks for the jacket, then."
She walked down more steps, putting her hands in the jacket pockets.
Call me. XXXXX XXX XXX. Karma.
Nakamura smiled. So they'll meet again...
