Mikey was on top of a lighthouse, no he didn't know where he was but he knew something terribly wrong. He could feel it, maybe it was the imprint he made on Tyler. That did not help his growing anxiety. Tyler is in trouble? "I told that boy to be safe." Mikey cursed himself, standing up from the top of the lighthouse and looked around. Demons can sense where to go, like a tracking device, he saw his way back to Columbus and was soon on his way to rescue his more than stupid friend. Mikey knows Tyler loves him, but Mikey doesn't love him and that sounds pretty harsh but vampires know who their soul mates are. For Mikey, it was Peter Wentz before he died trying to fight with another demon. For Tyler? Tyler's soulmate isn't born yet, and probably won't be for a long time. Of course Mikey could leave Tyler just like that and never return, but he liked Tyler's company. Without Tyler he didn't have a friend or somebody to hold, demons have feelings okay? Even though Mikey wanted to drop everything and leave right then and there, he also knew Tyler's soulmate wants to know him. He can sense it somehow, Tyler's soulmate will have a certain affection to him as Tyler will somehow like him back. That's all Miley knows about them, and that's all he wants to know.

Tyler was sound asleep in the treehouse, getting his more than needed rest and was soon to wake up seeing as it was dawn. Somehow he heard the bird chirping in his sleep, making him become more and more conscious by the minute. But- he wasn't hearing birds, far from birds. He just made his mind think it was blissful sounds of nature, it was the sound of wood charing and popping at the fire grew bigger.

"Fuck, Tyler!" Mikey's eyes went wide as he followed Tyler's scent which led right too the burning treehouse. Tyler's pulse was beating normally, the fire wasn't big yet so Mikey, without a second lost, was up in the treehouse staring down at Tyler looking up at him in the droggy but panicked way. Mikey scooped the boy up, jumping out of the treehouse and laid Tyler on the ground.

"M-Mikey." Tyler coughed out, the smoke getting into his lungs. Mikey quickly pulled Tyler to himself and looked for a way out, obviously there was a window. Before Mikey could jump out he looked back at the treehouse him and Peter shared for hundreds of years, and then it was his and Tyler's. This wasn't exactly something he wanted to leave behind. He didn't have to leave it behind, either. He climbed down from the tree and brought Tyler to the side of the forest where he hid his bike and allowed him to catch his breath.

"You are an idiot, you know that?" Mikey rubbed Tyler's shoulders and held his closely to his chest. Tyler coughed in response and looked up at the demon. "I'm sorry." Tyler cleared his throat and looked back at the treehouse. "Your treehouse is on fire." Tyler jolted up, unaware that he was just in it in the first place. Mikey sighed and looked back as well, shifting himself and Tyler so he could see better. "Yeah, it is, I'm goin to turn you, Tyler, but you won't see me when you wake up." Mikey stated, bringing Tyler to his feet and looking down at the pitiful looking teenager.

"Are you going away?" The brown haired boy asked after stepping away from the demon in disbelief. Mikey nodded his head an looked down, adjusting his feet and watched as Tyler's he's head filled itself with different thoughts as scenarios. "I'm not coming back." Mikey finished Tyler's thought and watched as the mortal frowned. "Then why would you do this?" Ty questioned. How can Mikey even explain something like this? Mikey knows that he doesn't love Tyler despite what Tyler fells for him. Tyler knows little to nothing about him, what's he's done, what he will do, why he's even changing him in the first place.

"I can't explain something like this, but just please accept this?" Mikey asked, and it wasn't in a mean sounding way like you'd think. Mikey was always annoyed and bothered by something, no, no, he meant this. Tyler wasn't going to turn it down either, because, well he had already asked and he's wanted this for a while now. Why say no? But to not see Mikey again, was this something Tyler was willing to give up.

No.

"I can't leave you like that? If I don't change, I can still see you right, and if I do you'll be gone forever?" Tyler pouted sadly, looking down at his feet and trying to decide what was the better position to be in. "Yes, but you kind forgot this one little detail." Mikey sighed, making Tyler's eyes lock on his. "What?" Tyler quizzes, stepping back a and making Mikey's face look unbelievably uncomfortable. "Please forgive me, Tyler, but you don't have a choice on this anymore."

And Tyler fell asleep, he woke up with deathly pale skin, bloodshot eyes, and a dangerous feeling of hunger in the pit of his stomach. He woke up a week later, on the top of a lighthouse. He revisited the treehouse only to see it had barley burnt at all, there was a cross in front of it with little words engraved in it.

"What is this?" Tyler asked himself, he was confused but he knew what he was. 'Rest in Peace Tyler Robert Joseph'

Then Tyler understood everything. He pulled the cross out f the ground and chunked it in a random direction before walking away and saying a small goodbye to his best friend.  "Rest in peace Mikey Way."
