ALICE
I shake myself off, and feel a hot feeling along my spine and shoulders.
My heart skips when I look into the eyes of my best friend.
I feel Percys' hand holding up my head and back.
I blush as he helps me up.

He whispers, "You bonded with the mother dragon. Your back has another tattoo on it. It uses your wings as the tattoo wings."
I don't want to know how he knows.

I stretch my wings, and we walk outside.
I notice Percy has a mark on his wing, and his collar bone.

I ask about them, and he turns red.
He spreads his wings, and we fly off into the sky.

I sigh, and look at my best friend.

He smiles at me, and flies beside me.

He sighs, "The female said we need to return home."
I whisper, "Come on. We've only been gone a month, Perc!"
He replies, "She really wants us to. She said we need to go now."

I don't argue the dragon.

We fly for hours.
We don't talk.

Suddenly, Percy begins to cough.
I ask, concerned, "Are you okay?"
He doesn't respond.

He keeps coughing.
And coughing.
Then, he stops.

He falls instead.
I catch him, but realize he's too heavy.
We fall when my wings give out.

I scream, "APOLLO! Take him!"
My dragon takes the boy.

I try to fly again, but my wings hang limp.
The she dragon is gone.

I try and try, but nothing happens.

I close my eyes.

Wonderful.

A/N The media puck is my horribly hand drawn picture of Percy. I decided it might help you envision what I mean by wings better.
