~Another time skip: 1 month later~

(Your POV)

It has been a month since Sesshomaru and I mated. A few weeks after I started to feel a little strange and sick. Sesshomaru was sleeping, one arm wrapped around my waist while I laid awake then I suddenly felt very hot and nauseous. I lifted his arm up and dashed into the hall to get to the bathroom. I threw up in the toilet, flushed it then went to the sink and washed my mouth out. (Yes, yes, I know plumbing like this wasn't in the feudal era) 

"(Y/n)?" Sesshomaru touched my shoulder.

"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru." 

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine." I began to walk towards the door until he grabbed my arm gently and pulled me to face him. "Lord Sesshomaru, I'm fine."

"Are you lying?" His face was more serious this time.

"I said I'm fine, I swear." My head was feeling a little light. He rested his forehead on mine then kissed me and walked out the door.

(Sesshomaru's POV)

I was worried because I knew that mating her would be dangerous because my seed could over power her eggs or my poison could possibly kill her. But at the time I was not concerned whether she lived or died, but in the act I realized something that had no value to me before... And that was love. It was selfish but my desires were hard to control. I went into my garden to do some brooding. She could be pregnant (which was my goal), but I haven't sensed anything different from her. 

"Mi'Lord!!" Jaken ran out of the palace. "Mi'Lord!!" He gasped for air.

"What is it Jaken?" 

"Mi'Lord, the human girl! She has fainted!" 

My eyes widened slightly and I went back into the palace. There I found her limp body in Mimiko's arms. 

"Lord Sesshomaru, I-I don't know what happened. She was helping me clean the dishes and then she fainted!" 

I took (y/n) in my arms, "Summon my mother." I said, carrying her into my room and laying her onto the bed.

There was a knock at my door, "Sesshomaru?" 

"Mother?"

"What's the problem?" She began walking closer to us.

"She fainted."

My mother stared at the girl and scoffed, "A human, Sesshomaru? Hmph. You are just like your father."

"Can you help me or not?"

"Why don't you just put her out of her misery?" I didn't respond but looked away. "Sesshomaru... You didn't... Fall in love and mate with this human girl did you?"

"Hn. Why would that concern you?"

"You must know that we are superior to humans, right? Or have you equalized yourself with them the way your father did?"

"I have not."

"Well, you could have put her life in jeopardy." She moved (y/n)'s (h/l) (h/c) hair to expose her neck. "Especially if you haven't marked her Sesshomaru, and you clearly haven't."

That's right. I was interrupted before I could do so... "So what now?"

"You could try to mark her but there's no guarantee of that. Also the poison you inject into her may kill her."

And I've already used Tensaiga... 

"Has she been resurrected by your father's sword already?"

"Yes."

"Well you'll just have to try what you will. But humans are not like us, Sesshomaru. They're very delicate."

"I know, Mother." 

"Well, I believe I've been of service. I will be taking my leave now." She exited the room and the palace.

The only way I can save you is to risk your life once again... Tch. How annoying...

I began to move down to her neck, I have to try. To save someone I love... I kissed her neck and then bit into her neck, my venom entered into her skin. I felt a jolt in her body and she gripped the bed.

"Nngh. Ahhh." She grunted as her eyes squeezed tighter. Tears began to stream down her cheeks as I wiped them away with my thumb. Her face was very hot, sweat rolled down from her forehead. I squeezed her hands tight hoping that she would not die.

(Your POV)

I felt peaceful and then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain at my neck and a weird pulse and a burning sensation run through my body. My breathing increased and I began to sweat. I felt large hands squeeze mine tight but gently and my body began to relax and go back to normal. Slowly my eyes began to open and I felt nauseous again. I tipped my head over the bed and threw up what appeared to be something black and tasted toxic. I coughed and held my burning forehead, then I turned around to see Sesshomaru.

"Lord Sesshomaru." I said with a raspy voice, I was happy to see him then I remembered that I threw up on his floor. I covered my mouth, "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, I couldn't hold it in. I'll clean it up rig---" Before I could finish the sentence I was being held in a tight hug, my face met his mokomoko. 

"I'm glad you're alright."

Tears began rolling down my face, "Thank you, Lord Sesshomaru." I said as we released the hug and our faces met then he kissed my forehead.

"Your temperature is going down."

I felt my forehead, "You're right. Um, excuse me but I have to go wash the disgusting taste out of my mouth." I got up to go the bathroom.

(Sesshomaru's POV)

It worked. I sighed. But she didn't notice the mark... I'll let her know soon enough. I smirked and called a maid to clean the mess.
