Birthday and Announcement

It was finally the day, my 17th birthday! My special day, if it wasn't for Sesshomaru saving me, it would've been just a normal day. 

Every one of my birthdays up until now, my dad would go to "mother" and bake a special cake for me and we shared it with the entire village. Mother was a 100 year old lady in our village, everyone called her mother because, well, that's basically what she was to all of us. She was always so loving, protective and providing for all of us. Her life was taken with the whole village, the same day Sesshomaru saved me... 

I wanted to bake a cake for myself and the rest of the palace, in celebration of me and just for fun as well. I also wanted to announce something very special to Lord Sesshomaru as well, but knowing him, he probably already knows... I walked into his bedroom where he was laying down on the bed, staring off into space.

"Lord Sesshomaru." I began.

He turned his head and I could see a faint smile on his face. "(Y/n)." He got off the bed and began walking towards me. He bent down to meet my height and put his soft lips against mine. Then he pulled back, "Happy Birthday, my love."

"H-how'd you know?"

"I'm sure I heard you talking about it."

I smiled. "Thank you. Um. I also have a favour to ask you."

"What is it?"

"I would like to bake a cake for everyone in the palace. But I realized we ran out of ingredients so I would like to pick some up from the human village."

"I don't think you should leave the palace."

"Why not?"

"Naraku may still be wandering around. I cannot risk your life for such foolishness."

"Foolishness? My Lord, my father's traditions were not foolish." I said in shock.

"I was not insulting your father's traditions, I was just implying that you do not have to go."

"But I want to, and I know exactly what I want. And besides, I will be safe if Naraku tries anything." 

He stared at me in confusion. "How so?"

I smiled and looked down at my stomach then I looked back at Sesshomaru. "Have you not noticed the new presence?" I took his warm hand into my small one and placed it over my barely visible baby bump. His expression changed ever so slightly to a surprised look. "I'm pregnant Lord Sesshomaru, with your little hanyou." I smiled and giggled at him. "I actually feel protected now that part of you is inside of me, it's almost like our little baby is shielding me from harm."

He smiled at my stomach, "I'm glad." 

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "So can I go out and get some of the ingredients, you can come with me."

"Fine, but don't take long, I want to treat you tonight."

"Really? I was thinking the same." I gave him a seductive smirk. 

We walked out of the palace through the forest to a human village. Sesshomaru stayed on the outskirts of it so he wouldn't attract any attention from any of the villagers. I went to a booth which had flour, sugar, salts and many baking ingredients. I picked up everything I needed, paid the tender and I began walking towards Sesshomaru until a hooded person bumped me and I dropped all the ingredients onto the ground.

"Oops, sorry. My bad." The voice belonged to a male and he helped me pick up what I dropped.

"Hah, it's alright. I'm clumsy anyway." I smiled at him as he handed me the things.
