It's been a few days since you've talked to Niall or anyone for that matter. You know that the boys finished their shows here in Los Angeles and should be heading back home to London sometime soon. You're sure that they're all eager to get home. Especially Liam. Apparently he got in a fight with his best friend Taylor, which caused Taylor to head home early.
You can't blame her really. Life on tour with the boys can be rough. You know that now, of course not anymore because you quit. You've been waiting for Sandra to call you for the past few days but she hasn't yet. You find that kind of surprising.
Settling back into life with Audrey has been difficult. Audrey is always gone. She's either at work at the diner or at a party with one of her new friends. You're basically just a fixture of her past. Instead of spending the last few days bonding with Audrey again, you've been sitting on the couch watching television. That's all you have the energy to do.
You get up from the couch and peek at the world outside. The sun is setting and the sky is growing dark. It seems awfully quiet outside. The house across the street has it's lights on and you watch as shadows move behind the curtains. Cars stop and go at the corner of the street and a woman walks alone on the sidewalk in front of your apartment.
Life here near the beach is a lot different than life at the hotel downtown. As much as you hated having a ton of people around at the hotel, you kind of strangely miss it. You miss always having someone to talk to and someone protecting you right outside of your door. It grew to be comforting.
You turn back to the living room and sit back down in your seat on the sofa. The television is the only thing lighting up the apartment as darkness settles in quickly. You wrap your favorite blanket around your shivering arms and begin to fall asleep as you watch your favorite cooking show. After only a few mnutes you're awakened by a sudden thumping sound and the click of your television shutting off.
You listen carefully, wondering if you'll hear it again. Instead, you hear nothing. You throw your blanket off of you and slowly arise from the sofa. You can hear the sound of the hardwood floors creaking up and down the hallway but that's normal, the place is old.
You look down the dark hallway, seeing nothing in front of you. You go to switch on the kitchen light but it doesn't switch on. You groan and make your way further down the hallway, looking for the light switch on the wall. You finally find it and go to switch it on, but the light doesn't come on.
"What the hell?" You whisper, switching the switch on and off.
You stare down the blackened hallway, only darkness staring back. Your begins to thump wildly in your chest. Something doesn't seem right. You take a deep breath and turn to walk back towards the front room. You need to call the police.
"Where do you think you're going sweetheart?" A familiar voice says behind you.
You don't have time to turn around. You're quickly thrown up againt the wall fo the hallway as rough hands pull at every piece of clothing on your body. You try screaming but one hand is quick to cover your mouth. Your pulled back against the person's warm chest as a strong hand is kept over your mouth.
"Shut up..." The voice whispers behind you.
You've heard the voice before. You're just not sure where. It's rough and grainy. Your mind searches for possible matches but you're too nervous to pull a solid thought together.
Your quickly thrown to a bed, your head cracking against the wood headboard. A sharp pain shoots through your head. You groan and pull your hands over your face. The dark room begins to spin above you as a dark figure makes it's way above you. You know what's going to happen. You want to blackout. You don't want to go through this.
You close your eyes as warm tears form in your eyes. Fear tears through your body as pain tears through your skull. The tears stream down your face as you attempt to concentrate on something else. Anything at all. Suddenly you're back in Niall's room.
The first night he kissed you. The way his body leaned against yours. You can feel him in front of you, the taste of his lips on yours. His bright blue eyes peering up at yours, a small smile forming across his face. That's when you weren't sure of how you felt about him. That's when you weren't in love with him.
A few days ago you absolutely hated him and never wanted to see him again but now he's all that you want. You want to feel him in front of you and you want to watch his bright blue eyes peer back at you. That's the only thing you want right now. He's all that you want.
As you remember that night, you see every detail. You watch as his chest slowly rises and falls. You ever remember the way that his eyebrow slowly lifted as he turned away from you. As Niall walks away from you in your memory, everything quickly turns to pure darkness.
Note: Sorry for the short chapter! Also, did you notice anything special about this chapter? If you read my other story, "Holding Out For A Hero" some things might have seemed a little familiar. I decided that since the two stories are kind of paralleled, I would just go ahead and do a type of small crossover! Anyways, who do you guys think that the mysterious dark figure is in this chapter? Comment below with your thoughts and opinions!
