Ayaan's preview.

"Good Evening Honored Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen and the Graduating Class of 2014. Congratulations, we've made it. Each of us stands in front of you to express our gratitude, and to express our love for Columbia university.

Like most of you, I arrived at this university in the fall of 2010, wide-eyed and anxious.
I felt threatened by fixtures on this campus with loud opinions and even louder voices, and wondered if I could really thrive here..."
A tap on my shoulder distracted my concentration to speech given by our former student.

"Let's get going, this guy here bores me." Suggested one of my friends, holding my hand pulling towards the exit of the hall.

"It's our grand graduation ceremony, how can we miss it?." I exclaimed, getting my hand out of his grip and heading back to my seat.

"Ayaan, I promise we will back before the winner is announced."

"Where are you heading to?" Demanding for a clear explanation.

"Chill dude." Holding back my wrist, pulling Me away from the crowd, as he makes his way towards the staircases leading up to the terrace.

I wasn't really sure if that was a good idea, the urge of heading back to the hall hit my head continuously. It had been almost an hour we had been on the terrace.

"We should get going now, I can't afford to miss the announcement." Pulling my friend off the floor as we rushed back down towards the Hall.

"And the winner of the year goes to...."The crowd went silent as the announcement was read aloud. "It's none other than Ayaan maher." Everyone's mouth dropped open, as they all stared at me in disbelief.

My heart started beating faster, breathing accelerated. I held back the excitement that broke from within. Could anyone hear my heart? It had to be loud enough. My ears turned bright red, as I made my way towards the podium.

A few more winners were announced, and final speeches from the chancellor and the Dean were delivered before we all made our way back to the dorm.

It was my final day of university, as well as my training sessions in one of the New York's biggest investment company. I couldn't wait to finally get home and hug my mom. It had been almost 5 years I last saw her.

I packed my bags as fast as I could, dumping clothes from the wardrobe into my suitcase. I had to rush to the airport, but before that, it was necessary for me to pass by and grab my recommendation letter from the company I was working at.

I made my way towards the entrance of the airport doors and proceeded with the needful procedures. I was set to head back to London.
