Ayaan's pov:
I've been waiting for this morning for so long that I barely believe my eyes when the sharp shadows cast by the street-lamps through my pastel blinds start to fade, diluted by the onset of daylight. silence of the early morning, where birds chirping are heard clear before the chaos of morning traffic. stretching my arms as i wake up and get off the bed ready for the day i have been waiting for anxiously. I quickly head to the bathroom though i was early enough, but as they say first impression lasts. It was my first day at work and i wanted it to start with goodness.
I step into the bathroom, switching on the tap and standing underneath the warm pouring water. it was so soothing as it dripped down from my hair to the rest of the body calming and refreshing before getting into the day's hustles. i smell in the warm scent of vanilla from my shower gel, as i wash the soap off my figure and head out grabbing on to the towel and walking into the room.Thinking, as i stand in front of my small wardrobe, which had limited number of clothes making it harder for me to choose on what to put on for work. An outfit that will not give bad compliments. After minutes of thinking and deciding, i finally chose to wear the one outfit which i wore once. And that was during a family wedding which i couldn't afford yet ummii got for me with her savings.
i took a deep breath and put on an oxford navy blue shirt with a black jeans and a black coat. styling my hair and spraying some deodorant before walking out of the room. i walk into the dining room pulling a chair as i sit and savor upon the mouth watering breakfast made by ummi.quickly wiping my mouth as i bid her a goodbye kiss on her cheeks before heading out for work. The early morning breeze and the busy streets sent my body chills of excitement, as i walked towards the bus station and on to the bus. upon reaching my destination, i sigh as i shake off my nervousness and walk into the office.
scanning around the surrounding for the first time as an official employee, that's when Ashley walked towards me with a smile on her face. She wore a maroon skirt and a white top with black heels. Her golden shoulder length hair were perfectly curled and a light touch of makeup which made her hazel eyes look more stunning than ever. "This certainly seems like a good day" as i muttered to myself. "Good morning Ayaan, right on time i must say." Ashley greeted with a shinning face. "Good morning to you too Ashley" i respond as i look forward on what she has to say regarding my introduction to the new company.
"Anyway without wasting time, i would like to show you around and familiarize you with the surrounding before taking you to your office." smiling as she walked signaling with her hand for me to follow. "This is our accounts department...."i gaze around the area getting lost into how big the company was as her voice fades away. The entire building is covered with huge glasses, chandeliers, leather chairs and a bright adjoining. It almost seemed more of like a mansion than a company.
"And now this is where your office is" Ashley pointing towards a well arranged like room with a black leather table and a chair with white paint on the three sides of the wall. Near the table was a great view of small cafeterias and a mall on the opposite side of the road. I shook my head and entered the office knowing that I didn't pay heed to a single word Ashley spoke.
I trained quite well alhamdullilah and the day went on smooth as I had imagined. My mind was finally at peace after long. Now ummi wouldn't have to worry about expenses anymore. She can rest and I can give her the best of everything she deserves. As working hours came to an end, I immediately took my bag and left for home. The happiness within couldn't contain any further. I had to get home and hug my ummi and seek her blessings for what I've achieved so far.
I decided to have a cup of coffee at a nearby restaurant before catching the bus. I walked for a few minutes as the streets were busy, everyone walking in their own pace. Cars moving fast enough. Not a single empty bus to get home. As I continued walking, suddenly someone from far end comes running towards me and pulls me into a tight hug. I stand there speechless as she whispers into my ear that she is in danger.
Gently pulling her away from me, I remove my jacket and cover her with it. Not a single cab available. After a few hustles, we finally manage to get one, I opened the door for her as she got in, while I quickly hopped in from the other side. She looked quite scared. Her grey eyes staring down at one point whereas her brown silky hair partially covering her face as the wind blew from the window,a sweet musky aromatic smell could be heard. Red cheeks and pink lips well chiseled face and a long well shaped nose. Her innocence was just like that of a baby's.
I couldn't stop but stare at how well the Almighty created her, when the car suddenly stopped and I realized that we had reached her place. We got off the car and waited her to get inside her place safely before I made my way home. It had gotten quite late. The sun was drowning and darkness appearing. I gave her a final glance as I awaited for the next cab to pass.
Not a minute passed when I heard the guard calling me into Amiyrah's place. "Sir you're needed in the house by the boss." My heart raced as my feet started getting weaker i took quite slow steps until reaching upon their door making my way inside the house of none other than the business tycoon Mr.Asad.
He immediately recognised me and welcomed me in. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity when finally he came and sat besides me. "So you're the guy that dropped Amiyrah home?" He questioned in a loud deep scary tone. " yes Sir" I replied as I looked down. "Now do you mind explaining where she was and what she did? Cause she has refused answering to me." I looked at him surprisingly wondering if the father thought of us being together.
"I'm sorry sir, I don't know anything regarding your Daughter, I just found her on the street quite scared and dropped her off that's all" I replied confidently as I knew there was nothing wrong i did. "You're the same guy from the Airport i helped?" Pointing towards me with wide eyes. "Yes sir" I responded. "Well if you can give me a second." Saying that as he got off the couch and went away for again what seemed like another eternity. What could be on his mind that's holding me here to his place. I could hear distant shoutings and bangings.
I continued sitting there when Mr Asad finally walks towards me and sits on the couch opposite. "You had a favour to repay back do you remember?" "Yes sir, I do. Of what help can I be?" I replied as i rub my hands on to one another. He took in a deep breath and spilled the words "You have to marry Amiyrah!!"
Was I hearing wrong?I'm sorry but that seemed quite sudden to me as my eyes stayed wide open. "I don't even know the girl nor do I know you that's an impossible demand." I spoke as I stood up from the couch looking at mr. Asad with utter surprise. " you cannot say no! I've thought over this and have come to a decision where you have to Marry Amiyrah." "But sir you hardly know who I am and if I can keep your daughter happy." I said as I walked further more away from him. "
I very well know who you are. From the day my driver dropped you off at your place, ever since I kept a private investigator to get details about you and your family. So there is no way out for you." My eyes widening even further. What was this happening? A beautiful well went day ending with a disastrous night. I was speechless as I told mr. Asad I'll get back to him after a day.
I quickly left their place and walked my way home. My body felt heavy as I neared the house. I was in no mood of dinner. I Quietly Got into the house and went straight to sleep.
