The Awakening (Sequel To Unlikely Love)

Chapter 2

Jacob's P.O.V.

I hate that the reason for Bella being like this happened because she was helping me. She left behind her whole family and mate to help me and here she is two months later looking dead in a bed with machines hooked up to her. She should be happy and spending time with her mate instead of laying here. I should have fought alittle harder so she wouldn't have turned out like this.

On the first month that she was in this 'sleep' my sisters and I decided that we should give them their space so Alice said that there is a cabin in the woods that has everything that we would need. Shortly after we moved into there I went out shopping and found my imprint. Long story short there she's absolutely beautiful and her name is Angela. I told her about the whole shifter thing and she didn't freak out and about two weeks later I asked her to marry me and she agreed. Yes I know, get to know the person better and all of that good stuff, well a shifter gets close to their mate immediately so it didnt take long for her to trust me.

After we got married she moved into the cabin with my sisters and I, we had permission from the Cullens of course, and she wanted to meet my family. I told her that I'll ask them about it and the Cullens agrees so we went up to the main house. As soon as we got there Esme was at the door and hugging her and shortly after Carlisle was down the stairs shaking her hand. I know that vampires aren't supposed to ever look bad but they did. They had bags under their eyes and if it's possible they even got paler.

After she met them Carlisle had pulled me aside and said that I needed to go see Bella and tell Rose to go hunt and that I would watch Bella while she was gone. I asked him if Angela could come and he smiled and said of course.
We had walked up the stairs and I told her to wait outside the door while I talk to Rose and she agreed.

I walked in and there was Rose looking worse than all of them and she was sitting there looking at Bella. I had walked up to her and told her what I would do and she agreed reluctantly and got up and left after congratulating me with a hug. S he had missed the wedding due to watching over Bella and I hadn't of minded one bit.

I had walked to the door and led Angela in and had her take the seat besides the bed. Surprisingly she knew Bella from school and she felt bad for her. Apparently they were kind of friends, they would sometimes talk to each other or would always partner up when they had projects to do. As she got settled in and relaxed I walked over to Bella and held her hand until Rose came back. When she got back she took my spot and Angela and I had left to give them some room.

Now it's been two months and nothing has improved. Rosalie is looking worse and getting snappy again and the rest of the Cullens look like the walking dead, no pun intended. I walked up to Bella's room and saw that Rose was in there and she needed to hunt. As Doon as I walked in Rose got up and left. I walked over to the bed and grabbed Bella's hand.

"You need to wake up soon Bells. You have to meet my imprint and now wife. We are expecting soon and it wouldn't be right if you weren't there with us. We really do miss you Bells and it's not too pretty right now with Rose, no offense. She really needs you to wake up and you need to tell her to take care of herself. I never told you this but I'm sorry for getting you into this mess. If I wouldn't have told you about it you wouldn't have done what caused this. You deserve better than a friend like me. I need you to hurry up Bella please. Wake up soon." I told her and by that time Rose was back and sitting in the chair.

I went to leave the room to let them be alone when I felt an arm wrap around my waist and I didn't notice that there was two chairs there until now.

"Please don't leave. I know I'm being selfish and bossy but I need you to stay alittle longer." Rose says and she looks desperate.

"Of course I won't leave. I was just going to let you two be alone together because I know that when someone's hurt that you love you like to be alone with them." I say to her.
