The Awakening (Sequel To Unlikely Love)

Chapter 22

Bella's P.O.V.

It's been almost two weeks and the battle is supposed to happen tomorrow. We are currently training and working together to learn everything that we can. As far as training is going the group is doing great. They are ready for the battle and I'm proud to be next to them in the battle.

"Okay everyone lets stop training and come gather around me." They all come over immediately. "Okay I want to say that I'm super proud of you all. You all have made me proud and I'm glad to be fighting out there besides you tomorrow. I know that we'll do great. So I'm going to let everybody have the rest of the day off to go hunt, relax, and whatever else you want to do." I say to them all.

They all disperse and I grab Rose's hand. I've noticed that she has been acting strange lately and it's making me nervous. I mean that I'm in perfect health now and I feel fine so I need to get to the bottom of what's wrong with her.

Like I was saying I'm perfectly healthy. That day Carlisle called me in there and told me that the tumor was gone and everything was successful. I was back to normal and shouldn't have anything to worry about coming into this war. So I'm as healthy as i could possibly be.

We walk to our room and I pull her to a chair. "Whats wrong Rose. I'm worried about you." I say to her.

"Nothings wrong Bella, I'm perfectly fine." She says and lets go of my hand.

"No your not. I can tell when your lying and I know that you are right now. So please tell me what's wrong I won't judge you for it." I say.

"I...I just don't ... I just don't want you to fight in the war tomorrow. I don't want anything to possibly go wrong and you go int o a sleep that you'll never wake up from again. I couldn't live with that Bella and I'd die if you got hurt out there. I've been trying so hard with being supportive of you in this battle but my instincts won't let me let you go into this." She says to me.

I go over to her seat and sit down in her lap. "Nothing will happen to me out there because you will be by my side the whole time. I know that you won't let anything hurt me and the same goes for you. Carlisle told me that I'm as healthy as a mule and that I can do this. I know that you want to protect me and I want to do the same for you also but the only way you can is being out there with me on that battle field. I have to go out there because I'm the leader and I'll take the opposing side by surprise when they learn of my powers. So I know that we'll be okay." I tell her and start kissing her neck.

"Gosh you know that makes me agree with whatever you want when you kiss my neck like that. So yeah I agree with you and I will protect you with my life out there tomorrow." She says and picks me up and takes me to our bed.

The next day...

Well the day has arrived and I wake up early from Alice banging on our door. She has the place where the battle is going to be taking place and when it is going to start. I get up and get ready.

I go and take a shower and see that my clothes are set out for me already. Today's clothes are alittle different than the normal ones. Today my jersey is longer and I have tight fitting clothes on for underneath my pants and jersey. My pants are not skin right today and more like my normal style of jeans.

I put them on and go and grab my famous snapback. Once dressed I grab Rose's hand and head to the kitchen for breakfast. As soon as i walk in I know that everybody has been told that the battle is getting closer to time because Esme isn't smiling and laughing like normal. I go over and hug her and then I grab my plate of food. I sit down at the table and eat two plates of food and meet everyone in the throne room. They were already there when I entered.

"Well I guess that you all already know when and where the battle is taking place. I just want to say that we will be moving out in ten minutes and that you need to bring everything that you need for the battle. I want you all to have at least a small lighter with you so that you could burn the bodies instantly. I don't want to take the risk that they get put back together and continue on with the battle. I want to thank you all for fighting for this family and I want to say that you are all my family also. So let's go out there, win this battle, and come home all in one piece and with everyone. If you see a member in trouble try to get over to them to help them out. Let's go." I say and get in the front of everybody.

We are going to a meadow besides the lake and it's beautiful. I saw it on one of my many lake visits and I knew that that would be the place that the battle occurred.

I grab Rose's hand and we run there together. As soon as we get there everyone gets in the positions and battle stances getting ready for the fight.

Five minutes later I smell them and squeeze Rose's hand to let her know that its time. I take one last look to my family and smile at them all. I turn back around as soon as the leaders step forward.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here. A weak human leading a group of vampires. You don't stand a chance against my army." They say.

The battle begins.
