The Awakening (Sequel To Unlikely Love)

Chapter 18

Rose's P.O.V.

I catch Bella just as she starts to fall to the ground. I look at her and see that she's blacked out and that she's not going to be moving for awhile.

"Carlisle just tell me the truth. Is she going to be able to survive with this tumor. By the looks of it its getting bigger and I know what happens when it gets too big, you go brain dead." I say to Carlisle.

"I honestly don't know Rose but I think Bella should be put in a comfortable room and set up some IV and the heart monitor. By the looks of it and if I have calculated it, the tumor should be easy to remove. Since it has grown in size I can easily go in and get it before it kills her. The choice is yours though and we support your answer. I advise that you answer in the next two hours though because if you agree she will be able to fight in the upcoming battle." Carlisle says and hug me.

I hug him back and carry Bella to our room. I shut the door behind me and lay her on the bed. I gently shake her and she finally wakes up.

"Its bad Rose. The tumor is so much bigger, I'm going to die and leave you here alone. I can't do that to you, I can't even picture me dead without you at least by my side..." She says and I stop her with a kiss to the lips.

"Everythings going to be alright. Carlisle said that he can remove it from your brain and that you should be up and ready for the battle in time. The choice is yours but he said that you have two hours to decide." I tell her and hug her to me.

"I say we let him do it, I mean gosh what's the worst that could happen." She says and I start to picture terrible things.

"Okay lets tell Carlisle so that he can get ready and set up a room for you."I say and go to get up but am pulled back down.

"You don't have to hurry. We have plenty of time." She says and starts to kiss me.

Let's just say that we spent those two hours with each other like it was our last day together.

Alice's P.O.V.

I saw what Bella had decided to do. When I got the vision of her brain tumor getting worst I broke down in tears and had to go sit in Jasper and I's room so that I could calm down. Edward had to go to his and Emmett's room to calm down also.

We all thought that the tumor was gone and that everything was normal in her brain but I guess we guessed wrong. From what I saw in the vision the tumor had quadrupled in size and it looked like it was only going to get worse. Her life is depending as of now if the surgery will work. If the surgery does not work Bella has no chance at living.

Please oh please surgery work and let her come out okay.

Bella's P.O.V.

After we spent our two hours busy we showered and headed back to Carlisle's study. As soon as we walked in the rest of the family was in there and had sad faces on. I went up to all of them and hugged them and kissed their foreheads before I finished with Carlisle. I nodded my head and he grabbed my hand and led me to the room next to his.

We walk in and I see the table, heart monitor, IV bags, and finally the items that will be used for the surgery. I walk over to the table and grab the gown that I have to wear and walk to the bathroom. I slip off my clothes and put on the gown. I walk back into the room and sit down on the table.

"If anything happens to me just promise that you guys will take care of yourselves. Don't let me be the reason for your unhappiness. Also if I'm not the same when I come back please help me remember how to be the old me. Don't let the guard know what's happening because I don't want them upset." I say and kiss Rose one last time.

As soon as i pull away I feel the needle enter my arm and start to instantly feel drowsy. I look up and let the medicine knock me out. And then everything was black.

Carlisle's P.O.V.

As soon as Bella said what she wanted I went over to the medicine to knock her out so she won't feel the pain. I stick the needle in her when she finishes kissing Rose. It does its job in less than a minute and I look to the rest of the family.

"The procedure may not completely help her but it will slow down the tumor. She should be fine when she wakes up so I need everyone to leave except Esme. Rose I promise I'll take good care of her." I say to them and they all leave.

I look to Esme and she looks sad. I walk over to jher and hug her. "Are you ready for this?" I ask her.

She just nods and heads over to hook the rest of the machines up to Bella. Once everything is hooked up and turned on she hands me my tools.

I get to work immediately.

Twenty minutes later...

It has taken me twenty minutes so far and so far everything's been going good. I got in there and got the tumor out and I'm starting to make sure that I got it all when she jumps. With her jumping its not a good sign. Either the sedative that I used is not working anymore or by me removing the tumor I disturbed something.

Please let it be the sedative wearing off.
