The Awakening (Sequel To Unlikely Love)

Chapter 14

Rose's P.O.V.

As soon as Bella fell asleep I took off into the night to go hunting. I had gathered a group of us and we all left together. I had Alice stay back to let her and Jasper hunt later on by themselves. Edward and Emmett were with us a so I knew that we would be safe.

"How can Bella do that when she's a human. Don't get me wrong because it's awesome and all but how did she discover it?" One of the people in the group asked.

I looked over to Edward and Emmett and they both just shrugged. I looked back at the group because by now they all wanted to know. "How about this, I'll let Bella tell you her life story if she wants and she probably wont mind. Its not my past to tell. Also she can sometimes be touchy when it comes to her family so i would not do or say anything that would offend us." I tell them.

They all nod and we continue on until we are far enough into the woods. "Okay so I know this is new to all of you. I'm just going to say that this is going to be absolutely disgusting to you. This is why Bella has given you a month to adjust to the changes. The reason why she changed this rule was because she doesn't want to see people being killed by people that she will eventually consider family. She also wants you all to have as much of your humanity as you can. She is a big believer that things happen for a reason. Anyway I'm going to let Edward and Emmett show you how they hunt and then you are all free to take a bite from your own. Have fun." I tell them all and see them disperse following Edward and Emmett.

I thought that they all went with those two so it was a surprise when I turned around and saw a, by the looks of it, teenage girl standing there. She looked alittle sheepish and nervous.

"Hi I'm sorry if I scared you but I was hoping that I could hunt with you. I'm the smallest of the group that came and I didn't want to possibly mess with someone else's meal." She says to me.

"I don't mind at all. What's your name?" I ask her.

"Sorry, my name is Bree. I sometimes forget to introduce myself." She says. I know that if she were capable of blushing she would have been just then.

I grab her hand and we run off in the opposite direction that the boy's took the rest of them. She keeps up with me but suddenly stops. I stop with her and then I smell the deer that's popping up over the hill. I nudge her arm and she takes the hint and attacks the deer once it's over the hill. She was so graceful when she did it that she reminds me of Alice. Alice is always so graceful when it comes to anything.

Anyway the girl, Bree, takes the deer down and doesn't even hesitate at the taste of the deer. To me it looks like the adjustment for her wasn't hard at all. After she drains one more deer she gets up sheepishly and walks to me.

"I'm sorry that I killed that second deer. I was so hungry and it didn't taste that bad so instincts took over and I just killed the second one." She says in a rush with her head looking at her feet.

"Its okay Bree, I'm not mad at you. I would have been the same way. Plus I don't really care for deer that much, I like lions better. So you can either stay with me or go back to the castle, I don't mind." I tell her.

"I think I would like to stay with you. You and your family are so nice to us and treat us like we belong. Bella was kind of scary at first but then I understood why. She just wants to make sure her family is safe. After she figured that out she wasn't so scary. But like I was saying, Aro just thought of us as his pets. We could die and he wouldn't even care, he'd probably laugh. So thank you for being so caring. I know that I'm not the only one thinking  like that in the group." She says and we continue on with our hunt.

Alice's P.O.V.

I went to check on Bella since Rose wasn't back yet. I walked in and saw that Bella was wide awake staring at the ceiling.

"You know Alice, I hate that you had to see that. I lied to your family when I said that I was older and that it was just Renee that beat me. I lied so that you guys wouldn't of had to feel sorry for me. I just wish that it didn't pull you into that vision from my past." Bella says as she continues to look up at the ceiling.

I go over to her and sit at the edge of the bed and grab her hand. I lay back and look up at the ceiling too.

"Its okay Bella. I'm glad that I got to see what happened to you. I now know why you are so jumpy around some people. I don't blame you for not telling us for our own feelings, but Bella you have to tell them. You need to tell the rest of the family so that they know, so that they can help you deal with your emotions. Please don't let this happen again, Rose was about to have a breakdown in front of everybody. She was really strong and kept herself together for the sake of you being able to hear what was going on." I tell Bella.

"I know and I'm telling everyone tomorrow. But will you just stay with me until Rose gets back from hunting. I like to snuggle up against her cold body, it helps me sleep." She asks me.

"Yeah I'll stay Bella, I will always help you." With that I lay all of the way down and she wraps her arms around me. After ten minutes I hear her breathing even out and she is sleeping.

Twenty minutes later Rose walks in and smiles. She comes over and hugs me. I just nod my head and let her take my place. I walk out of their room and close the door.

Poor Bella, the girl has had the worst life ever and she's still so strong on the outside. She is going to be a great leader.

Boom there we go an update. So we keep moving right along in the story. I hope its not boring you guys/girls. I'm trying to make it interesting and good to read.
