"Keikilani! Joshua wants to see you!" Keikilani, child of heaven, and honorary angel, looked up from her writings and saw the eldest standing a few feet away. He looked... worried. The young woman felt chills run down her spine. She wasn't as close with Michael as she was with others, but even she knew when something was awry.

What could Joshua possibly want from her? The angel who talks to God... what could he possibly want from a human?

"Did he state his reason?" Her face was etched with a worried excitement even though she was trying to hide it.
Michael shook his head.

"He asked me to fetch you and said it was urgent, that's all." Standing up, the brunette left the calm memory she had been residing in. A memory she once had with her best friend, Gabriel. Although the angel of her memory had long left she stayed and enjoyed the breeze under the willow tree.

But she was needed, and while Joshua was an angel of patience, Michael wasn't.

"You summoned me?" The green eyed girl wondered as she wandered the garden. Joshua would hear her. He always did. And sure enough when she turned around, there he was.

"Keikilani. You have grown since last I saw you."

"And your vessels beard has gotten grayer." The girl joked. "What can I do for you?" Keikilani looked no different than a normal human. She was shorter than average, with an hourglass body and chocolate brown hair that was always braided behind her back. She was beautiful in her own way, and kept the chilling jewel like eyes that seemed to see into your soul.
There was one thing. The child looked only 15 or 16 years of age.

Time was different in heaven.
You could watch centuries pass by on earth and yet only age a week.
The child had seen the great fall, the flood, the fall of Rome, the great wars of the world... and yet appeared the age of your average teenager.

"You are being given a task. The elders have gathered and discussed recent orders from God, it is decided that you must put that training if yours to good use." The brunette gaped. Her? A job?

All the other angels had jobs. Joshua was like the mouthpiece of God. Gabriel used to carry messages to the humans. And Michael was the prince of all the angels.
Keikilani felt like she was about to explode with joy.
She was being promoted.

"What does the Lord call me to do?"

"Dean how did you know which motel I was at?"

"You left a note with the address, remember?"

"No I didn't."

"Wait what?!"

This is what Lani had been listening to for what felt like a lifetime. For someone who was knocking on death's door, Dean talked a lot.
At first it had been about simple things like sports and movies recently watched. But then Lani closed her eyes and laid down horizontally on the comfortable backseat, causing the boys to think she was asleep.

"Dude, why did you want her to come with us? She's not a hunter!" Dean's voice was still raspy and weak but the (not) sleeping woman in the back could still hear him loud and clear.

"Because she's been keeping me sane the last two days, Dean--"

"Sam I know she's cute and everything but we can't just adopt strays everywhere we go." Sam huffed, the stress evident in his voice.
