Chapter 8
Logan's POVXavior and I waited for about half an hour before all the teachers and professors started to gather in the large meeting room.
Once everyone had gathered I spoke up starting the meeting, "Alright! First things first, Sapphire is my sister whom I did not know about until a day ago. I know as much of her as you do."
Everyone was silent until Scott spoke up, "So you don't know if she's single or not?"
Anger bubbles up from deep inside of me and I have to control my anger. I don't know where this anger came from but I didn't want anyone dating the sister I now know I have. I lowly growl out, "No one dates my sister unless I say you can."
I could hear Scott mutter, "Possessive."
I gave him a glare and turned to the rest of the meeting members. They all look at me with curious looks. I look to Xavior not knowing what else to say and hoping he'll talk for the rest of the meeting.
Thankfully he sees my look and takes over, "She is dangerous, do not let her get herself into trouble. I am warning you all now that she has followers who seek to experiment and kill her. We must not allow them to be near this school or Sapphire. I fear that if they take her, we will be losing a war that has not yet begun." Xavior's voice seems deeper than usual which makes a shiver snake it's way down my spine.
Everyone starts to ask questions, some which we can answer and most we have no clue how to answer to.
Hank asks one question that sets everyone to a quiet haze, "We know she is dangerous by her own mind, do we know if her mind knows who is dangerous and who is not? My question is: if her mind takes over while we are around, will she kill us too? Will she notice the difference between bad and good?"
Damn scientist sure knows how to ask a question.
Xavior is silent for a second before he tells Hank what he thinks, "Her mind only sees danger. We have no clue if she will recognize good between bad. When I saw a peak of her past, it looked like she didn't get into trouble with anyone who she cared for so we know not of what you seek, Hank."
Damn everyone sounds so proper, I think.
"So is she like bad or good? Like, will we need to like train her?" Scott asks.
Not everyone I suppose, I correct myself.
"Yes we will need to train her abilities and her physical form. Before I get into that though, Hank, Scott? Can you two look after her on your own?" Xavior asks the two men.
Hank immediately replies, "yes" while Scott asks a question about her, "Is this like date night look after or-"
I cut him off, "No dating her! She is off limits to you both!" The same anger rises once more and I have to ask myself why I'm like this to a person whom I've only known for a day. A person who is my sister. This isn't me, why should I not allow her to date? I imagine Scott's arm around her and immediately I want to kill him even though he hasn't done anything.
Scott puts his hands up and says he'll do it.
"Good. Now, I'll speak to you two after this meeting privately about what you guys need to do, understand?" Xavior speaks to Hank and Scott. They both nod knowingly.
Everyone continued their round of questions and very little answers. Soon it was dinner and the meeting was to be over. Everyone but Xavior, Scott, Hank, and myself left.
"Logan. Grab a plate for yourself and one for your sister. Go to her and make sure she is fed. Stay there when you two are done eating, I'll come and get you." Xavior commanded me.
