Sapphire's POV"So, Sapphire, why now appear in Logan's life?"
Oh. My. God. Really?
I don't answer and just turn my head to the side and glare at the serum. Heavy breathing is heard from the other side of the room from Hank who seems uncomfortable under this atmosphere.
Gene scoffs and clicks her tongue, "Excuse me, but did I piss you off in some way?"
My head turns back to her and I divert my glare to her, "No...at least I don't remember..." my voice leaks of sarcasm and I really hope she apologizes for how she has acted towards me.
"Oh? Well if you can't remember then why do you appear to be glaring at me?" She tilts her head in confusion and anger bubbles up deep within my soul.
It's my turn to click my tongue and I smile sweetly but as anyone could tell, fake, "I don't know..."
"Well you should stop then and we should communicate like proper human beings." She crosses her arms now looking pissed off.
A tiny voice in the back of my head, whispers, 'Well, maybe I'm not human...'
I squint my eyes and twist my mouth, "Like you?"
"Seriously! What did I ever do to you?!" Her arms go flailing everywhere like a flamingo and I have to think, now I know she's mad, but by how much?
"Um, let me see, for one: you faked a smile at me the first time we met and faked your way out of talking to me. Second: when you saw me not ten minutes ago, you forgot who I was. You know maybe, just maybe, you'd remember who I was." I can feel my voice grow deeper the longer I speak and a fire burning my insides. The fire doesn't burn in pain, but in anger.
"Well sorry if I'm expected to remember who you were even if your own brother can't!" Gene's voice gets high and I see Hank step in between us.
Hank puts up his hands, "Okay! Girls, how about we stop here and just talk about something else?"
His suggestion goes in my right ear and out my left. "How about no." I crane my neck to glare at Gene, "No, not until she tells me what the hell she meant by that."
She crosses her arms, "You know what I meant."
Hank's face turns pale and I can feel the bubbling feeling of fire deep within rise over the top of the jar it's contained in. Oh ya, it's over for her. I feel a bolt of strength run through me and I break free of my sleeping beauty state.
My legs move and lunge at my opponent, my arms outstretched and ready to beat the crap out of this hag. A blue fluffy ball; however, interferes and I attack it.
Hank's face is blue, and his skin has changed to fur. He grabs my hands and we push, together, not wanting to hurt the other but also not wanting to back down. "Get out of the way, Hank." I seethe out.
His arms shake under the pressure I push onto his palms, and mine quiver for only a second.
I stare into his eyes, his ocean blue eyes. For a second I am calm, watching the waves of emotion in his eyes.
Then she speaks, "How did you break free? I thought Hank gave you enough of that serum to nearly kill you." Her voice triggers my reason why I did this in the first place and I shove Hank to the side to attack my prey.
I have a sudden urge to rip out her insides, and to make her feel the pain I feel whenever Logan, my brother, doesn't remember me or our childhood.
As I'm about two feet from scratching her cheek bone, a weight pushes me down. I know who it is but I need to destroy her.
I can feel the urge getting stronger, and the fire building. My mind is fuzzy, and swirling with endless darkness. It can't be Xavier so what is it?
