Logan's POV

I hear a scream and wake up immediately ready for action. I look for the source but find it crying, thrashing about wildly while screaming for mercy. Sapphire.

I retrieve claws back into my hands and try to calm her down, but nothing works so I wake her up, making her grab onto me and scream for help.

"Hey, it's ok. It's just me. It's ok. You're r ok." I try to tell her, making her eyes settle on me. Then out of no where she starts crying again.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask trying to sound concerned I was furious she woke me up and I did not appreciate her screaming.

I hug her and gently rock her back and forth and then after a few minutes she tells me her story, or I guess her-our past.

When she talks I couldn't take my eyes off her, she just looked so familiar and so fragile that I couldn't stop hearing her voice or seeing her perfectly round face.

When she's finished,  I swallow that lump in my throat and ask her the question that I've been wanting to ask ever since she told me of my past, "How old were we?"

She whispers, "I was only ten, you were sixteen. I am only 102 today."  I realized I left her to defend herself at the age of ten with no one to help her. She said that she was 102. She said she looked for me for fifty years so, she stayed alone for forty years!

I nod slowly, trying to look like I'm not freaking out and whisper to her, "I don't remember you or my past but I'm sorry kid." I truly did feel sorry and I truly did wish I could remember her but I can't.

She smiles, showing her pearly whites and asks with a croaky voice, "What time is it?"

My gruff voice answers her, "It's three in the morning."

She looks sorrily at me, "I'm sorry I woke you." Then gets up to her couch saying, "Goodnight Logan".

Her back is away from me and I could see her dark brown wavy hair glisten in the moonlight. For some odd reason my heart reaches out to the girl and then I answer her back, "Night kid."

I could hear her sigh and roll to face the ceiling, slowly drifting off to sleep.

'Man, I'm going soft' I think when I drift off into my own wonderland.

I could hear a shower on and singing, my eyes opened and looked around trying to remember last night. I conclude what happened when I realize I'm in a hotel room and there is a woman in the shower. Slowly I get up and reach for a coffee.

What the hell? Where's the coffee? There was only a glass of tea and from the smell of it, I knew I had slept with the wrong chick last night. Not even the decency to make me a coffee.

Then the bathroom door opens and there stands a lady with beautiful wavy, dark brown hair matching her dark brown eyes. Her lips were full and nicely rounded, and a cute button nose to complement her nicely round face. Instead of a towel around her body, there's run down clothes and the towel is around her hair.

Then it hits me like a ton of bricks, that's my supposed to be sister. "Ugh" I groan.

"What's wrong Logan?" She asks, her soft yet strong voice asks.

"I need coffee." I state, probably acting like a zombie.

"Psh! Coffee! Coffee is bad for you! Tea helps nearly everything in your body!" She exclaims happily.

Ugh her happy morning mood is not helping at all.

"Well, it's nice to have a shower after all these years." She sighs, getting her cup and she hands it to me, "Here, try it at least. It's better for you and makes you more awake than coffee."
