"Noelle, if you don't get out of the way now then we have no other choice than to hex you too," James retorted in a steady voice, turning away from Auggie and facing Noelle. Sirius stopped tickle-hexing Auggie, and also turned towards Noelle.

"I'd like to see you try," Noelle spoke clearly, raising her wand again. She wasn't really going to hex the boys-- they were her friends. You don't hex friends.

A silence seemed to spread throughout the watching crowd of students as they soaked in Noelle's words. The audience sensed it was time to leave, and turned away from the fiasco towards the castle. Only the boys, Noelle, Marlene, Lana, and Lily stood on the slippery hill. A standoff-ish look plastered its way on Noelle, as if she was ready for anything the boys would throw at her.

Lana started towards Noelle, tentatively placing a hand on her shoulder to stop her from doing anything brash. "Noelle, come one. Let's go, they aren't worth it-"

"Anserrus!" Sirius shouted suddenly, blaring his wand at Noelle. A feeling of dizziness washed over her, and Noelle was surprised to find herself honking like a goose uncontrollably for a few seconds. Her face went red with embarrassment as James snorted, highfiving Sirius for his fantastic hex-work.

"Why you blasted little toad!" Lily shouted at James, walking up to him and smacking him up side his head.

James rubbed his head hard, scowling at the fiery girl. An awkward grin spread across his face as his brown eyes met her emerald ones. "You know lily-flower, you're quite pretty when you're angry." Lily gaped at him, blinking hard before she stomped off towards the tower.

Noelle regained her composure, and stared at the boys in disbelief. These were not the fun-loving, lighthearted boys she knew last year. They would never do anything to hurt her-- at least, that's what Noelle had believed. She had been foolish to think that someone would really care about her, Noelle decided.

"You guys are gits. Stay away from me," demanded Noelle, her voice barely over a whisper, although it was heard clearly by everyone near. Noelle walked towards Auggie steadily, helping him off the ground with Lana and Marlene following closely behind.

"Oh come on, Noe! We were just having some fun," James cooed, but Sirius stood behind him in a sort of shocked stance, staring at Noelle with a unrecognizable emotion written on his handsome features.

"If that's your version of fun, Potter, then I want nothing to do with you." And with that, the girl and her friends trooped towards the castle, ignoring the boy's shouts of apology.

That night, Noelle laid wide awake on her four poster bed. She could not find it in her to fall asleep-- the girls mind was racing as she remembered the chaotic days events. Noelle had completely forgotten of the diary and Tom, but remembered of them when her eye's landed on the delicate ring placed on her middle finger. She took it off, examining it, and then thought of the necklace and the diary. The girl removed the necklace engraved with A.D as well, and placed it on her nightstand, next to the diary and a cool glass of water.

A light clicked on across the dormitory wall. "Noelle? Why are you still awake," Lana asked, rubbing her eyes as she checked the time. "It's two in the morning, go to bed."

Noelle nodded in response, her eyelids getting heavier and heavier as she settled on the comfy bed. The light clicked back off, and Noelle knew that Lana had fallen back to sleep when a steady snoring emitted from the bed across from hers.

Within an hour, Noelle finally surrendered to sleep.

Noelle glanced upwards, green eyes wide and taking in everything they could. A woman, and quite a beautiful one at that, stood smiling weakly back. The woman was gorgeous, with deep inky hair that seemed to blow softly behind her, sharp, chiseled features, and glowing emerald eyes. Noelle realized what she was almost immediately-- a Veela. It would be impossible to not recognize her as one, as the women's skin seemed to shine like the moon, and her looks were almost supernatural. Noelle felt a pang of recognition when viewing the woman, for she seemed so familiar, so concrete. But just as gorgeous as the woman was, she looked equally sad. Her breathtaking green eyes were red and puffy; her pristine skin was stained with tears.
