On Friday, Noelle was deciding whether or not to try for the Quidditch team. Tryouts were to be held that same day, after classes, and the girl was nervous as to if she should try out. All of her friends were pushing her to, and Lily even threatened to hex her if she didn't try out.

"Noelle, you have to try out! Do it for me, do it for us!" Marlene tempted the girl dramatically, causing Noelle to chuckle.

"Mar, you are almost being as dramatic as Black is!" She joked, immediately regretting what she said when Sirius perked up a couple seats down, listening into the conversation and smirking. They were at breakfast, rushing to finish quickly so they could get to class on time.

As the girls got up to go to class, so did The Marauders. "Talking about me, Noie? Gossiping about how irresistible I am?" Sirius taunted her, raising and eyebrow with a amused smirk on his face. Out of the corner of her eye, Noelle noticed Lana turn slightly pink.

Noelle rolled her eyes. "In your dreams, Black."

"Oh, you are in my dreams, Noelle," Sirius smirked grew as he stared determinedly at Noelle. The girl glared at him before hitting his shoulder.

"Like hell I am."

"So, are you going to try for Quidditch? James is, you know." Sirius spoke normally, his smirk fading into a kind expression.

"I'm not telling you, we aren't friends. I suppose you will just have to wait and find out." With that, Noelle picked up her pace on her way to class.

By the end of the day, Noelle decided she was going to try out. She was more nervous than anything, and ten minutes before the Quidditch Trials, Noelle felt as if she was going to puke. The girl convinced Marlene to also try out, after realizing this wasn't something she could do on her own. Also, she didn't want to be on her own with James; she still hadn't forgiven him for what he did, not that she forgave Peter or Sirius either.

The two girls made their way down to the Quidditch Pitch, deciding it would be better if they got there early. Everyone else was still finishing dinner, but Noelle couldn't find it in her to eat. She was worried it would come right back up right when she hopped on her broom.

The girls head was spinning so much with anxiety, she had to lean on Marlene to get to the lockers. Noelle changed into her Quidditch uniform quite clumsily. As Marlene and Noelle walked back out onto the field, more people filed into the lockers, including James and a popular third year named Emmaline Vance. Noelle smiled at her as she passed; they had spoken before, and although the girl was more than slightly conceited, she was kind to Noelle. Noelle ignored James's wave of hello as she passed him.

"When are you going to forgive Potter?" Marlene questioned, a small frown dancing on her face.

"When he matures enough to realize bullying and skipping class is wrong."

Marlene gave a small nod, sighing slightly. "He misses you, you know. I was talking to him in DADA, and all he asked about was if you were alright, and how mad you were at him. He's sorry."

"Mar, please drop it. I have enough to think about right now," Noelle blurted, a little more rudely than what she meant. Marlene's frown grew larger.

A few second passed before Noelle sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so rude to you, I'm just so nervous for these Quidditch Trials."
