Am I in love?

We were woken up by the sound of my Star Wars alarm. I put on my blue crop top and a pair of black shorts. Just before we headed out the door to go and eat, Emily checked her text messages. "Hey Summer, um...I don't think we can go to Tim's." She said. "Why not?" I asked confused. "My dad is taking me out for breakfast." Emily mumbling. "Oh...OK, that's fine. I'll just go by my self then."

Her dad's car pulled up on the drive way and they both took off. When I got to Tim Horton's, I ordered my food and tried to find a table to sit at. As I was walking around, I saw Lucas sitting at a table in the far corner. He looked sad. "Hey Summer, would you like to come and sit with me?" He said in a lonely voice. "Sure if you don't mind."

As I sat down I asked him why he was so down. "You noticed, huh. Well...I kind of had a fight with Madison last night and we haven't spoken since." He said while staring at his food. "Oh, I'm sorry I asked." "It's ok, Madison just never agrees with me, she wants everything to be her way."

We spent an hour sitting there and chatting about nothing. Lucas was actually a pretty cool guy! I didn't feel nervous around him at all. "Hey, do you want to come with me to a party tonight, since Emily won't join me?" "I don't have any plans, so sure, why not." I replied happily. "OK then, I will pick you up at around 5. Oh and it's also a pool party, so bring you bathing suit." Said Lucas, then we both left and walked back home.

Wow! I can't believe that the coolest guy in school just invited me to a party! Uh oh...what am I going to wear!!! I need to find something fast! I quickly rushed to my closet and pulled all of my party clothes out and my swim suits. I found a LBD in the back of my closet and my red and blue striped bikini from my trip to the mall with Emily.

By the time I found my outfit it was already 4:37. Omg! He's coming in 23 minutes! I put on some consealer, eye liner, mascara and some lipstick. Water proof, of course. I put on a pair of wedges and the doorbell rang.

I opened the door and there he was, standing there. "Are you ready?" He said. "Y-yes" I said in a shy tone. "You look beautiful!" He smiled and I smiled back. He walked me to his dad's car. "You must be Summer. Lucas has told me a lot about you." He said as we entered the car. Lucas mumbled something to his dad, but I couldn't understand what he said.

He drove us up to a huge house! "This is my friend Alex house." "Wow!" I said as my face litup. "That's how I felt like the first time I visited his house too." He said as he smiled at me. "Here's your stop love birds." Said the his dad, teasing him. "Dad!" said Lucas as I laughed. "Thank you Mr Huntzberger" I said trying to make a good  first impression. "You're so kind young lady, you have better manners than...what's her name...of yes, Meg-" Lucas cut him off "-Madison, her name was Madison."

We stepped into the house and it was gorgeous! There where a ton of people, I recognize a few people from school but I never talked to them. "Hey, you made it. Who did you bring, your new girlfriend?" Said a familiar voice. It was Alex. "Oh, I'm...uh not girlfriend." I said in a shy voice. "Yah...she's not my girlfriend." Said Lucas. OMG HE THOUGH WE WERE DATING! THAT WAS SO AWKWARD!

We went swimming in his BIG pool! It even had a waterfall! I heard a bunch of boys whistling at me but I just ignored them. "I like your swimsuit." Said Lucas. "Um...thanks." I said nervously. By 8 o'clock, everyone left but we where still in the pool having fun.

"I'm gonna go get the towels to dry up. I'll be right back." Said Alex and he left the both of us. We both stepped out of the pool to clean up, but I slipped! Lucas quickly caught me by the waist as I reached to grab his neck. He brought me back up close to his chest and...he kissed me, and I kissed him back.

Alex walked in and we pushed away from each other. "I got the towels." He said smiling. I don't think he saw us together...that was really close. We got dressed and my mom came to pick me up.

"Summer?" Said Lucas. "Yah." "Um...I don't have a ride, so I was wondering if your mom could drop me off. I live a street down from yours." He said as he was brushing his fingers though his hair. "Sure, that shouldn't be a problem."

We got in the car and my mom dropped him off and we went home.
