"So you're definitely gonna do her then?" Deeks asked for nearly the hundredth time.
After the little stunt Abi had played during lunch the other day, I had made up mind and told both Deeks and Dylan that I was going to start actively persuing Abi.
Deeks thought this was just another way of saying that I wanted to have sex with her... which I also kind of wanted.
I also made sure to constantly remind Abi that she had basically invited me to stick Junior into her fairy - she had laughed at my childish names for our parts, but I thought it was rather creative. Better to give them creative names than sticking to their standard clinical names.
"Yes, Deeks," I sighed.
We were stuck in another boring session at the youth centre. Jeany hadn't yet arrived, and we were all just sat in the circle stuck waiting for her.
None of us were allowed to leave, seeing as these sessions were mandatory for all those attending - judge's orders.
Thankfully, though, Abi was here which kinda brightened up my mood a little. She was quietly conversing with Dylan, the only one in our group she could actually stand - this was only 'cause she hung around with him after school as well, whenever she and Lucy got together.
Apparently, Dylan wasn't as big of a twat as he usually was, when Deeks and I weren't around. Abi had actually called me a 'bad influence' in Business the day before, when I had gotten Dylan into trouble for making him laugh.
I didn't like how she judged me a lot; she didn't know how my life was outside of school, away from my friends, to judge me and assume that I was a bad influence. If only she knew how my life was at home, then she'd be eating her words and begging for my forgiveness.
I wasn't going to tell her though, she'd definitely pity me if she knew what my home life was like, and I didn't want her pity - I didn't want to be pitied by anyone. Especially not by Abi; I understood why she was pissed off when I had told her that I pitied her.
The only people I trusted with my secrets were Deeks and Dylan, because not only were they my best friends and I could trust them with my life, but because they had shit lives at home, like me.
Deeks' old man walked out on their family when Deeks was 6, and neither he, his mum nor brother had heard from him since. Michelle didn't know why her husband had suddenly upped and left, but her eldest son, Michael, had suspected that his old man had been cheating on his mother.
Now, Chelle was hardly ever home to see her sons, as she worked long hours to provide for her family. I felt bad for her seeing as she loved both of her sons, and before her life had fallen apart she was always spending time with Deeks and Mikey.
Whenever I used to go visit Deeks when I was younger, she would always make sure that I was well fed and happy. She was like a mum to me and even I missed her presence whenever I stayed at her house now.
Despite the two year age difference between Deeks and Mikey, they looked like they were twins - Deeks was the spitting double of Mikey.
We hardly saw Mikey outside of school, but when we were in school he was always surrounded by his friends. He was in his last year of Sixth Form, and was a lot smarter and more popular than Deeks - which wasn't a bad thing, considering Deeks is a great person how he was. The girls in my year practically drooled over Mikey; they couldn't have Deeks, so they settled on lusting after his brother.
Whereas Deeks' home life wasn't completely shit, the same couldn't be said about Dylan.
He too lived with just his mum and older brother, but for a completely different reason.
