Luckily, things between Jordan and I weren't awkward. We remained friends and still goofed around a lot at work. The next week, we went out with our friend on a job hunt. It was a total bust since we had to wait for Jordan to get off work and that was around the time the mall closed. We got through to around four stores and everything was online. The three of us went to dinner and it was a really good time. We were approached by a server who handed us a phone number from a guy. We asked for who it was for, and he said he didn't know except it was for one of the guys. They were both too lame to text the number and find out so of course, I ended up doing it. We made assumptions as to who it could be. Jordan acted on the feminine side yet our friend dressed on the feminine side. The guy texted me back and said he thought our friend was cute which we all thought was funny. Jordan ended up having to leave early because he had to pick a girl up from her job. I was hurt, and to me, that was the conformation that he was taken.

That night I kept thinking about how Jordan was taken and I couldn't do anything about it. I was driven closer to the other guy again and my feelings were confused. I was upset, and made a stupid decision, one that I regret to this day.

When we went back to work, we told everyone about what had happened at dinner and things weren't awkward between us. I tried making things back to normal. I tried pushing my feelings for Jordan to the back of my head but it was hard. There would be girls coming into McDonald's asking for Jordan and a little bit of jealousy would take over but I had no right to be jealous. He was cute, of course there would be girls coming after him.
