This was my last week working at McDonald's. Actually, it originally my last day. I came into work Monday morning, and everything was fine until my friend came up to me and started asking me about Jordan and I. I looked at her confused because only three people in the whole store knew about us going out. She simply said there was a rumor going around that we were dating and walked away. I went up to Justin and all he said was that Kelly was going around telling people about us. After that, I went to another manager and asked him where he heard it and he said that Josh told him we were dating and keeping it a secret. There it was, the three people who knew we were hanging out were the main suspects. I was scared that if it got to Jordan, he would feel uncomfortable and stop being my friend. I knew he was coming into work an hour after I was off so I rushed to text him.

"So apparently we're dating," I sent Jordan. He responded pretty quick and I felt my heart race. Before we get to the good part, I- in my defense- had the biggest crush on the kid and I've never had a guy who I liked, like me back. I was naive and stupid and looking back at our conversation, most would slap me in the face because of how obvious Jordan felt about me. I sent the messages to my best friend and even she didn't hold back with the names. I always think to how things would have been different if I weren't too stupid to realize what our conversation meant. But then again, things turned out way better.
