The Choice

Oh my god. What happened!? They broke in. These evil people. Figures of darkness. I was hanging out with both my girlfriend Raine, and my best friend Szasha. We were having so much fun. We were playing video games and then they would draw and I would write a story to go along with them. We were just enjoying ourselves and they came.

"Get in the room." They told me.

They brought me to one of my bedrooms. Both Raine and Szasha were there, each tied to a chair of their own. One of the dark figures handed me a gun.

"Shoot one." It said. "You have to kill one of them. We will leave once it is done."

"No." I said, every single drop of blood running from my face

"Do it or every person in this room dies." It said

"Including you?" I asked

"We aren't people you Idiot." one of them said. "We are your inner demons."

"I... I don't want to." I said.

"DO IT!" the one behind me yelled.

I pointed the gun at Szasha. Her face went pale, but she said nothing. She was my best friend. I loved her so god damn much there was no way I could do this to her. I would never be able to forgive myself. She was so beautiful, so kind, the best person I had ever met. I wouldn't do it, I couldn't.

I pointed it at Raine. I saw a tear go down her face.

"Please don't." She whispered

She was the love of my life. She was somebody who loved me back. Absolutely beautiful with her snow white hair and golden yellow eyes. She was so sweet, like Szasha. She was so much like Szasha, I couldn't do it. She loved me back, and I knew that was something I couldn't get Szasha to do. I refused to kill anybody. I put the gun down.

"Do you wish for everybody in this room to die?" The dark figure behind me asked.

"No." I said. "Let me say something to each of them first, then I will make my decision." I said.

"Very well." the one behind me said.

It lifted its bony fingers off of my shoulder. I immediately went up to Raine and hugged her tightly.

"Oh my god i love you so much." I said.

"You... you promised you would never hurt me." She said, tears going down her face.

I looked her directly in the eyes.

"Raine, I fully intend to keep that promise." I said.

I let her go and walked over to Szasha. I immediately hugged her as tight as i could.

"Please." She said, breaking down crying. "Please dont shoot me."

"I'm not going to." I whispered. "I love you. Please, please take care of Raine."

I stood up.

"Have you made your decision?" The leader asked.

"Yes." I said.

The figure handed me the gun.

"Goodbye Raine. Goodbye Szasha. I'll see you on the other side." I said.

I put the gun up to my head and pulled the trigger.
