Just a one time thing

(Kate's P.O.V)

I had the craziest dream last night. I dreamt that I slept with Emilia, crazy right?! I opened my eyes and was glad to see I'd made it home okay. I definitely drank too much last night. I went to turn over when I realised there was someone lying next to me. It couldn't possibly...no. It was Emilia. How had I been this stupid?! I can't believe I let myself do this. "Morning sleepy head" Emilia said smiling. I couldn't help but smile. "Oh god, we did...didn't we?" I said, peaking my eyes through my hands. We both collapsed into fits of laughter, there was no other way to react. I would say it didn't mean anything but it definitely did to me. "I'm gonna fix us some breakfast, if that's okay with you?" Emilia said getting out of bed. She was trying to hide her body with the sheet but honestly I couldn't stop staring at her. Seeing her in my sober state, she really was beautiful. "Um, um yeh that's fine! It's just down the hall" I said completely distracted.

(Emilia's P.O.V)

I went to Kate's kitchen to make us both some breakfast. Truthfully, I just needed to escape the situation for a few minutes to collect my thoughts. I really didn't know what to do. Was this just a one time thing? Did she want more? Did I?! I was panicking. Stop it, Emi - Just take it as it comes. I made us both a coffee and some bagels. I decided to bring Kate some pain relief as I guess after how much she drank last night, she would definitely be feeling it this morning! By the time I'd made us breakfast, she'd already fallen back to sleep. I stood at the doorway watching her sleep. I wish I could've paused that moment for eternity. We had no where to be, she looked so peaceful, we had no worries about the consequences of last night.. "I hope you're gonna stop staring at me and bring me that coffee" she said with her eyes still shut. Not quite as asleep as I thought! I set the breakfast on the table beside her. "Right, now you better take these or you're gonna regret it later!" I ordered her to take the painkillers. "Oh, i'll regret it will I?" she said with a wink. I opened her hand and put them in them. "Thanks Emi" she said and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. For once, everything just felt so right and happy.
