It was many months after everything had happened. You and Ren had started a new life together and had a steady life without any bother. The mysterious planet was a beautiful place with greenery of all kinds and lakes and oceans with the bluest hues.
Ren had explained everything, his family tree, his intentions, his life, and you sat there and understood him completely. You pet his long, wavy, dark hair comfortingly and you tilted his head up to kiss his lips gently.
But, petting and kissing would only go so far. At times you would catch him amidst his emotions, struggling to get over his homesickness of his mom and his grief of running away. Still, you'd try in any way you could to make him feel better.
That's when the two of you visited your mom. The moment she opened the door, she gasped and embraced you tightly. You told your mom about your stories and about Ren and basically everything that had happened throughout the eventful year. You were happy to finally see your mother again, but she had a dark presence.
"Mom?" you asked gently, trying not to be too blunt.
Her eyes looked into yours, tired and full of emotion. She looked past you and at Ren, who seemed nervous at meeting your mother.
"Rey visited me not too long ago with horrible news." she finally murmured, standing and looking away from the two of you.
"What is it?"
"General-- your mother, Ren, she.." she paused, "passed away. It was peaceful and they'll be holding a service for her in a couple of days."
Your eyes went wide and you looked at Ren. His eyebrows furrowed and you could feel his emotion start to overflow. He was never good with handling his own emotions, so usually you had to help calm him down. You rushed to his side before he could lash out and held him close.
You pulled his head to your chest and he listened to your heartbeat, burying his face and trying to not show any signs of sadness. But, it was clearly obvious when you felt cold tears soak through your shirt. You ran your hands through his long hair and you murmured sweet words to him, trying to soothe him.
He stood up and turned away, quickly walking out of the house. You watched him leave and you looked at your mother, who signaled that you should be next to him. Following him quietly, you took his sleeve and he didn't glance at you.
"Ren, I am so sorry."
"No, it's not fair!" he cried, allowing love to sink into his feelings.
"I know, it's not fair. You'll be okay, Ren. Don't cry." you replied and walked in front of him, brushing away his tears and caressing his face. He took your hand and looked down at you, slowly smiling at your attempts to help him.
"Let's stay here for awhile, there's an extra bedroom you can sleep in because my bed isn't large enough for the two of us."
He agreed and went to bed early while you talked with your mother, catching up with her. When the moon reached the center of the sky, you went off to bed and heard soft sobs through the walls.
You woke up late at night, seeing a large figure open your door. You blinked hard and almost panicked, but saw it was Ren and you relaxed.
"What are you doing up so late?" you asked groggily and he just laid down next to you. As predicted, the bed was certainly small but he didn't reply. He just cuddled with you. Since he was so close to you, he managed to stay on top of the bed.
Your eyes soften and you take one of his hands, holding it and squeezing comfortingly. His dark eyes stare into your and he then kisses your forehead.
"I love you." he said.
"I love you too, you big teddy bear." you whisper back and then fall asleep.
Days passed and eventually Rey came to get your mother, but wasn't expecting extra visitors. Ren seemed uncomfortable being around people that he tried to kill and torture, but you took his hand and guided him the whole way.
The four of you, Ren, Rey, you, and your mother, arrived at the base for the funeral.
It was very nice and respectful, and you were sure that General Organa watched peacefully with a smiling, proud face.
Later that night, you slept in a larger bed with Ren at the base still. You rolled over to face Ren, who was still awake. The moment his eyes met yours, he smiled goofily.
"Hey, Ren? I've been thinking, do you.." your eyes drifted around the room nervously, "want a baby with me?"
He blinked quickly and he sat up. "Yes!"
"Calm down, I didn't mean now." you laugh and cause his cheeks to redden as he slowly laid back down.
"If we do, what will their names be?" he asked curiously, playing with your pretty hair.
You pursed your lips in thought and looked back at him. He was completely focused on the way the moonlight reflects on your hair, making it appear almost a different color by the bright lighting.
"How about Leia if it's a girl and Han if it's a boy?" you say, trying to pry him away from your hair. He looked at you and nodded with a little smile.
"That sounds great."
"Now go to sleep and stop playing with my hair." you teased him, making him laugh in response.
"Never!" he said in his deep voice, tickling you. Eventually the two of you ended up cuddling and falling asleep in each other'so arms.
