I sat there shaking while waiting for my mum and dad to come barging into my room. My heart dropped once i realized it was never going to happen. Unlike most kids when they have bad dreams, my parents don't come rushing to my side to see what had spooked me so badly. The reason isn't because they are neglectful parents who couldn't give a damn about their daughter. No it's far worse than that. The reason they don’t come rushing in is because they can't. They just can't come to my rescue and hold me in their arms until I fall into a peaceful dream like other parents do because they're dead.

I slipped my legs out from my sleeping bag on the floor and stumbled with shaky legs to my window. I hurled my boy out the open window and shifted into my pure white wolf. Landing on all fours with ease I didn't even look back before easing myself into a full on sprint. Wind weaved its way through my silky fur as my legs pumped harder and faster trying to pick up even more speed. I was flying through the dark woods, maneuvering my large white wolf form around any obstacles that crossed my path. My pain and worries drifting out of my mind as freedom took over.

I ran my normal morning route past the lake and meadow and in what felt like only seconds I was face to face with my house again. The sun was rising and turning the once black sky into an assortment of beautiful shades or orange's and pink's. I felt a lot more calm and awake as i quickly shifted back into human form. I threw on a large jumper that I leave close by for occasions such as these and began the climb up the side of my house with the help of the gutter pipe. I slipped in the open window and tip toed out my door, down the hallway and into the bathroom trying not to make the floor boards creak. I sighed as I closed the door behind me and turned the shower on. I slipped my jumper off and hoped into the cool shower. The cold water gave me goosebumps as it cooled me down from my sweaty run. I washed my hair with the vanilla scented shampoo and conditioners as well as my body with a honey scented bath wash. Feeling refreshed I stepped out of the shower and wrapped my soft towel around my damp body and shuffled back into my room.

The sight of an empty room, a used sleepingbag and boxes greated me when I stepped inside. I opened my black suitcase that contained my clothes and pulled out a pair of dark jeans, a long sleeved v-neck and a thick, baggy navy cotton jumper. I threw my towel into an open box and sealed it up before running a brush through my wet hair. I walked to the kitchen downstairs where a brunette guy was waiting. His hazel eyes flicked up to meet my brown ones and I dropped my gaze in a flash.

"Load your stuff. We leave in an hour," he demanded.

I nodded and jogged to my room and slipped on my black converse. After I was completley dressed I began the long process of loading all my stuff into my brother's black Ute. After several trips of going back and forth I had all my stuff loaded into the Ute along with the rest of the house and my motor bike. My bike was the last thing my dad and I did together. I was just helping him rebuild it for himself but when he passed away I ended up doing the rest all by myself and claiming it.

"Get in", yelled my brother while sliding into the driver's seat.

We pulled out of the drive way and headed for the highway. An uncomfortable silence filled the car so I pulled out my IPhone and head phones and blasted my music. The less I had to do with my brother the better. My eyes fluttered closed and I fell asleep with the sound of 360 and Gossiling filling my ears.
