So the thing about life is that you can't do anything alone. While that's true... It's REALLY hard on introverted people (did I say that right?)! Like it is incredibly terrifying to meet new people... So it's natural for us to hope that we make the best first impression we can... but if you're like me... that never really happens.
I say this for most of my real life friends, but they all met me in my own weird way. A few of them had the lucky chance of meeting me normally, but soon learned how much of a weirdo I am, so it'll come back anyways. Either way, whether it's when you meet me or if it's later on, I'll come out to be a weirdo.
Anyways, so the real question is how to meet someone new and actually maintain a pretty decent relationship with them? I mean don't get me wrong, you can know them and not talk to them, but I'm not talking about those relationships. I'm talking about how to make friends. xD.
Okay so let's just say you've been paired up with someone you've never met. You get through the whole: "Oh my name is ... Nice to meet you." Then of course, if you're like me, it can get awkward if you have no common interests with that person. Like HOW do you maintain a conversation?!
You can be all like: "Ahh... how was your day?" Or be like: "Anything interesting happened lately?" And possibly go on a tangent about what was said, but if you have no idea what they said... you're doomed. I feel like if you keep asking them about their life without sharing about your's it'll make it seem like they're trying to invade into their private lives... But then you don't want to share TOO much of your life because it is like giving your social security number to a stranger. You're not just not comfortable enough to share too much... Does that make sense?
I wonder if there is any social interactions class... for beginners. Do you guys have any tips? Let me know... because if not, I'll still be asking the same question I always do when I've run out of things to talk about...
"So... how's the weather today?"
