Harry P.O.V. -
"So what should we decide on first? The location, the invites, the décor, the food, the cake, the reception, the ceremony, there's so many choices!" I rambled on in excitement.
"Harry, you're rambling again."
"Sorry," I shrugged. How could I not ramble? We were going to get married. Marriage, the word felt funny rolling off my tongue. I guess because I know I'm younger than some, but I'm also older than a lot of married couples. At first, my instincts told me I was too young or that it was rushed, but then I realized it was just me worrying about what others would think. They're right, sometimes your heart knows better than your mind.
"How about we pick the date first, hmm? That's sort of important regarding everything else, you know?" he chuckled.
"Any ideas?" Louis frowned and ran his fingers through his tousled hair. Today was his day off from work, so he couldn't be bothered to put product in it.
"No, I don't have any specific days that matter that much."
"Oh, I know! How about our original anniversary date?" I suggested with pride.
"Nah we can't do that. That's too many important events on one day: Christmas Eve, my birthday, and an anniversary? Try something else."
Think, Harry, think! What's a date that matters to you? Make it something significant!" I mentally scolded myself. Firecrackers went off in my brain as an idea sky rocketed through me. "I've got it!" I shouted with a jump.
"Really and what's that?" he mused.
"The anniversary of when we first met! It would be perfect. It's meaningful, gives us enough time to plan the wedding, and September 28 is a perfect day for a wedding!"
"You remember the exact day we met?" he questioned unevenly. Staring down at him, I cocked my head to the side in confusion. How could I ever forget? That was the day everything changed.
"Of course I do, don't you?"
"Y-yeah I do. I just never thought it mattered to you, so you would forget or that the amnesia still made certain memories foggy." I wrapped my arm around Louis's waist and gave him a kiss on the cheek causing him to squeeze his eyes shut.
"Never could forget you. Looks like a nice day out; go for a walk, yeah?" Louis smiled, teeth and all, and grabbed his denim jacket from the kitchen counter. We bounded out the front steps and into the cool March air.
"You know we can't live with your mum when we're married right? That's just awkward and sad on so many levels. I can't tell my colleagues that I live with my husband's mum, now can I?" he cracked wittily.
"No, I suppose not. We could probably find a cheap apartment somewhere near by. I'm out of university at the end of next semester, so we'll be able to afford it soon enough. I can go ahead and get a minimum wage job for now though."
"Sounds like a plan, fiancée!" he commented overexagerating the French term. "But you know what this means right? You get to walk down the aisle. Before you protest, I proposed which is traditionally the male's role. As I see it, you get to walk down the aisle and be my bride."
"Are you calling me the girl in this relationship?"
"Of course not, I'm highly sure we're both males unless you have something you want to tell me." I laughed as he wiggled his eyebrows.
