Dreams that come from God stay true to who He is and what He values.
The bible tells us that God cannot deny Himself2. This means that God always stay true to who He is.
There are people who dream of being millionaires. It is not a God-given dream if you desire to become rich only to hoard your wealth and turn a blind eye to the needy and the poor. God is not selfish.
On the other hand, if you plan to use your wealth to bless others, fund a ministry and work on a cause that is greater than yourself, then God will honor that dream.
There are people who want to chase fame. They dream of becoming a Hollywood star or a famous singer. There are good people (you may be one of them) who have been given talents and abilities to succeed in this field. However, this is a different story if you become addicted to drugs and sex in the process. God is Holy. He hates sin. He is good.
Remember, dreams that come from God are honorable, holy, good and not selfish. If your dream contradicts God and His word and will cause you to sin and forget God, then that is NOT a God-given dream.
