"We are gathered here today in memory of a boy who's heart was bigger than his ego. A boy who saw the beauty and the ruin in everything. He was spontaneous and goofy and quite frankly, a little insane." -that got a chuckle out of some people- "He went through a lot in a short amount of time...and I'm afraid I wasn't much a of help to his situation...especially towards the end... but we can remember this; Ashwin Greene always loved every single one of us...and always will. And we all loved him," Daniel said as tears began to prick his eyes, "he was...one of the greatest people I have ever met...but he was in so much pain... I'm glad to know that he's in a better place now..."
After the ceremony the ashes were given to Daniel, like he requested. People apologized for his loss and people enjoyed the funeral ham. But Lily and Daniel set out to the cemetery where Gideon Maxwell Jordon was buried. Lily and Daniel exchanged a sad smile before laying Ashwin's urn beside Gideon's gravestone.
"If you were to be alive in the next few minutes...I'd tell you that I love you..." Danny choked.
And that's where Ashwin stayed. Beside Gideon...forever and always. In life and in death. Best friends.
