Say you wont let go

Derek's pov

We finally got to hi house when I got a text from the sheriff 'I have to go on a big trip up the mountain for a week would you mind looking after stiles while I'm gone? You can sleep in my room' immediately sent back 'of course' o took stiles bags from the boot and walk up to the door where there was a note 'key is where it normally is stiles I love you and will see you soon' I put the bags down and called for stiles "stiles where is the key kept?" I turned around to see him right next to me and it scared me but nothing scares me "here I got it you can go home now" he said walking into the house I picked up his bags and walked in shutting the door behind me "um stiles can you come here?" I say not wanting to intrude before I told him he walked back down the stairs "what Derek?" I hesitated feeling hurt by the way he said my name "um your dad is going to be gone for a week and asked me to look after you ok?" I could see the pain in his eyes but he dare not show it "ok fine I'll be in my room leave me alone until dad gets back" and with that he walked back up the stairs I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was gonna be ok but I understood that he needed space quit frankly I needed time to adjust to these  new feelings I had for stiles it was weird normally any feeling I had I would denie but with stiles I felt like there was no point.

As I walked past stiles room to get to the sheriffs I heard stiles wimper and when I tried to open the door it was locked so I broke the door down and ran in trying to find stiles then I ran into his bathroom and found him in the bathtub in a pool of blood and his wrists where cut I pulled him out of the water and layer him on his bed then I ran down stairs to find the med kit then I ran back upstairs to patch him up then I held him in my arms tight scared to let go then I walked him the the sheriff bed and payed him down next to me then he woke up "Derek?" I let out a sigh of relief "hey hey I'm right here" I said twisting his body around to face me "are you ok?" I said holding him "I'm um..." he burst into tears and I just held him until he was ready to talk "I I I'm not ok he's in m my head and I c can't get him out" he said it was almost as if I could feel how terrified he was "hey it's ok we will figure this out... together" I said before I pulled him in close to me "Derek?" Stiles said not moving "yes?" " why do you care so much about me all of a sudden?" He asked and I didn't know how to explain it myself all I knew was that I had to protect him and love him but I also didn't know how to tell him that so I simply said "I've always cared about you, now get some rest I'll still be here tomorrow" then I felt him move one last time "Derek just please say you won't let me go" I smiled this was more like my goofy and affectionate stiles "never" I simply replied and then I felt him relax in my arms and then fall asleep and now I could rest knowing we was safe in my arms.
