Nice Hospitality and A History Lesson

I woke up to see just about everyone was already up. The only one snoring away was Beta, which didn't surprise me at all. I stretched and yawned which got both Selenia and Max's attention "good morning sunshine" Max said with a smile on his face. I smiled and said good morning back to them. Selenia smiled and said "someone is good at cooking", then I noticed the smell, it was like bacon and eggs. I nodded in agreement and he smiled and said "thank you, we had quite a way with food cookery, we could make an entire buffet in less than half an hour, we took our food very seriously, it was what we were known for". He got the food ready just a minute later and set out 4 plates for all of us, it was crazy to think of how fast we bonded, all because of that Reaper. Max was the first done in under a minute so he had  a little extra. He nudged me and said "maybe we should wake him up" I nodded and went to wake Beta. "Beta it's time to get up" after a while I got him up and he went crazy for the food and ate anything anyone else wouldn't have. Then Max smiled and said "so why did you lot come here?" Beta said "well recently a bad guy got loose and if we don't stop him, he'll reek havoc on both the human world and the Minimoy world" Max sipped on a drink and said "and this wouldn't happen to be this 'Evil M' fellow would it?". I was baffled at his words and said "yes, yes it is, have you seen him?" he shook his head. I sighed and slammed my fist on the table "hey my little prince, we'll find him and we'll stop him" we earned a weird look from Max "wait... you guys... did I miss something?" we explained that we were together. And he seemed happy for us. I changed the subject and said "so Max what else can you tell us about the Ancients?" He started where he left off "After the Arch-Bach incident King Krauser II had simply disappeared, like he never existed, we were never able to recover from the damage he did, so soon the Kingdom fell, then came the water, it destroyed almost all of the knowledge we had, and hence all progress from us. I believe I am the sole survivor of The Ancients" he looked very sad. I said "Max why are you sad? You outlasted tyranny that's impressive!" He looked down and said "but I am forever alone, when I die all the information we have will go away, our legacy will no longer exist, all I will be is a whisper of words to your children for bed time stories, I don't want that, If our species goes out, we don't go out in some blaze of glory, we will be forgotten, a myth, a lie, legend, we won't make a big impact, all our knowledge will be forever lost, never to be seen again" that really moved me. I gave him another hug and said, "don't worry Max, We'll get everything we can from you so you aren't forgotten" He smiled and thanked me so the process begun, but we were still rushed so there wasn't much time, maybe I should ask him about all that crazy technology Beta talked about, I saw it for myself so maybe all that stuff in the books wasn't so full of it after all.
