We had gotten all his kinds history down, it was quite a doozy. His people were far beyond their time waterlines, diversity, power via cables, they even made generators, big ones too. They also had the biggest military and the other kingdoms were no match for them. Then about the great flood which destroyed and killed off most of them. I decided to ask "hey Max, where we come from people claim you made swords with power, potions with the ability to make or destroy water and all that, is that all true?". Max smiled  and said "yes, we held many secrets, surprisingly this was mostly devised by Krauser II, probably to gain control over the other Ancients, one thing he was ever good for, there is only one, tiny problem" I looked baffled "what?" He said " the flood accelerated  the deterioration, no one has been able to find that book for ages, the many who looked for it, never left this place, be it Reapers or the flood, no one who has ventured here has returned" I was bummed out. "so it's lost forever" Max smirked and said "I never said that, now Krauser was greedy for power and what is knowledge? power, if he was that greedy it either resides with him, wherever he is, or in that big castle, there is only one problem though-" "It's already crumbling" we all finished for him. He smiled "exactly, now when I was a young boy... Younger I heard of the 'Water Proof Book' this book was said to reside in a secret passage in The Great Library, impenetrable by anything other than 'The Sword'" we all looked confused "the sword? what's that, where is it?". He had that smile again. He led us to a secret chamber room in a wall we never saw before. When he opened the wall we walked to a shrine, some child holding a sword up triumphantly like he won a battle. Max picked up this sword "It has no name, no one knows who made it, it's just exists here". He smiled and asked us "you want that book?" we all nodded eagerly. He chuckled and said "well you all seem the adventurous type, you want it you are more than happy to try" He got the sword from the child and handed it to me with a smile "you get that book and I'll make anything you want me to from it" I smiled and said "we'll  be back with that book, thank you for your hospitality Max!" as we opened the door he flipped off the 'LockDown' switch and restored power and said "wait, as a friendly piece of advice, if you ever hear one of those Reaper screams run to cover away from them, but if they are too close, close your eyes and stay still until they leave, they only stay for 5 minutes or so, then they get uninterested and leave" we thanked him again and left.
