It was Shayne's fifth therapy day and he could speak more or less properly. They were trying to get him to say Courtney.

"Courty"

"No, Court-ney"

"Court-y"

"No, you're not listening to me. Try again."

"Court...y"

"Come on Shayne."

"Damnit Sarah I can't do it."

"You CAN do it! I know you can."

"Just close your eyes and imagine her in your head."

Shayne did as he was told.

"Court...y"

"For f*cks sake!"

"Calm yourself Shayne. Right, this session is over. I will see you again tomorrow."

Shayne got up and left.

"Courty. No for gods sake!"

Today was the day the whole games crew got Home from Dubai so Shayne was going to visit them. They didn't know about Courtney, Keith, Noah or Ian yet because their phones couldn't receive texts or phone calls while they were away, so Shayne took the liberty of braking the news to them.

It was a Sunday so nobody was at work. The games crew were all in their own houses. Shayne visited them one by one.

He decided to tell Mari first.

Mari:

"Shayne! How you been? Come on in bro."

"Hey Mari, I haven't been so good actually." Shayne said as he walked in to her house.

"Aww how come? Do you want some cola?"

"Uh, sure."

Mari got two bottles of Cola, passed one to Shayne and jumped on the couch.

Shayne sat down in the chair.

"So, tell momma what's wrong."

"Um, it's a long story really."

"I'll get comfy then." Mari said, slouching.

"Well, for starters, Courty is in a coma."

Mari spat her drink out.

"Pffph- What!?"

"Yeah, she got hit on the head then hit by a car."

"Duuude!?"

"I know right."

"Keith is hospitalised too."

"Dude wtf!?"

"Yeah, he Noah, Olivia, Anthony and Ian got into a serious car accident."

"jesus" Mari said quietly.

"Olivia was completely fine, Anthony got a minor concussion, he's fine though. Um, Noah broke his arm and Ian's in prison."

"I leave you kids for five minutes and it all goes to shit."

Joven:

Shayne was waiting at Joven's door for a few minutes and had knocked six times before he answered.

As he answered, he was buckling up his pants.

"Dude, gross."

"I'm a boy, what do you expect?"
