We were spending the most romantic moment in our lives. For me, it was the first time I was feeling that happy! I just wanted the time to stop. Suddenly, or I should rather say unfortunately, my phone rang.
"Dev, phone baj raha hai!"
"Main nahin uthana chahta. Hamaare beech ye phone kyun aayega?"
"Dev, aap bhi na! Woh gaana nahin suna?"
"Gaana? Kaun sa gaana?"
"Tere-mere beech mein kaun aayega? Aayega toh jagah nahin paayega!"
We laughed. I loved the way she sang the whole thing!
"Dev, chaliye ab phone uthaayiye."
I picked up the phone.
"Maa? Han maa bol, kya hua? Movie khatam ho gayi?................Achcha, kitni der lagegi?..............Theek hai,maa!"
I became tensed and I guess Sona noticed that!
"Dev? Ki holo?"
"Woh sab aadhe ghante mein ghar pahunch jaayenge!"
Okay,okay yes I agree she dominated over me again this time! But, she was right so I had to agree with her. No, I am not a Joru Ka Ghulam, okay?
We went back home. Sona, was so nervous that in a hurry she rushed to Neha's room to change. She was looking so cute, my Ms.Khargosh!

She changed but I was still lost into the moments we had today! Those wonderful moments which I never wanted to end. Why,maa,why?
As soon as she came, I hugged her tight. Never wanting to leave her again! Ever!
Suddenly, the door opened.
"Dev?"

We broke our hug. We had to! Both of us were scared. What to do?
"Dev...... ye......ye kab se chal raha hai?"
"Aunty ji, woh......"
"Nutrition! Main apne bete se baat kar rahi hun. Tum chup raho toh achcha hoga!"
This reaction of Maa made me feel sad for Sona. She always cared for her but Maa is.....
"Dev, bata mujhe!"
"Maa, woh main aur Ms.Bose ek doosre se bahut pyaar karte hain. Main tujhe bataana hi chahta tha par....."
"Par kya Dev? Mujhe pehle hi bataana chahiye tha na? Sonakshi kitni achchi ladki hai, sabka kitna dhyaan rakhti hai aur khaaskar mera! Tujhe ye pasand thi toh mujhe bataaya kyun nahin? Main thodi na tere aur teri pasand ke beech aaungi!"
What? Maa is okay with it? Wow! Never thought that!
"Nutrition, mera matlab hai Sonakshi......"
"Arey aunty ji, aap mujhe nutrition hi bulaayiye, mujhe achcha lagega!"
"Hmm, tum chaaho toh mujhe Maa bula sakti ho!"
She looked at me. I never thought this could ever happen!
"Han, Sonakshi, Maa khud tumhe unhe maa kehne ke liye allow kar rahio hain!"
"Jiji!!!!" Mami ji entered.
"Haaye jiji, maine kaha tha na? Iss bangalan ne hamaare bhole-bhaale Dev ko apne jaal mein phasa liya! Bol bangalan, kya kaala jaadu kiya tune hamaare Dev pe?"
"Mami ji!" I do not know why but I became protective towards Sonakshi. Of course, how can I bear it?
"Haaye haaye, dekhiye Jiji isne apne aap ko bachaane ke liye na jaane Dev ke saamne kya mantra bole! Ae bangalan, kya kaala jaadu kiya?"
"Bhabhi, aap bhi kya keh rahi hain?"
"Sahi toh keh rahi hun, Jiji. Isne Zaroor Dev ke paise ke liye ye sab kiya hai!"
I was about to burst out my anger and scold Mami ji when Sonakshi held me back, signalling me to keep quite. She whispered,"Dev, badon pe gussa, sahi nahin hai na?"
"Haaye dekho toh jiji, kya khusar-pusar kar rahi hai. Ae bangalan kal se kaam pe aane ki koi zaroorat nahin hai!"
"Bhabhi! Dev aur Nutrition ek doosre se pyaar karte hain! Unhone khud ne ek-doosre ko pasand kiya hai! Ham kaun hotey hain unke beech mein bolne vaale..."
"Par jiji...."
"Bhabhi, chaliye yahan se. Dev, raat bahut ho gayi hai. Sonakshi ko ghar chodd aa"
We were sitting in the car when Sona suddenly started with the topic.
"Dev, jab darwaaza khula toh mujhe laga tha ki ab toh ham pakde gaye! Par aunty ji ka reaction.... Maine socha nahin tha voh maan jaayengi!"
"Hmm, maine bhi aisa nahin socha tha. Maa ne vaise jo kiya sahi kiya. Par mujhe abhi bhi Mami ji pe gussa aa raha hai. Woh tumpe aisa behuda ilzaam kaise laga sakti hain?"
"Dev, main phir se kehti hun woh badi hain na!"
"Tabhi toh control kiya!"
I stopped the car, held her hand and said,"Achcha ek baat batao."
"Poochiye?"
"Dekho, Maa ko toh pata lag gaya hai. Toh ghar mein bhi almost sabhi ko pata lag jaayega usmein zyaada time nahin lagega toh......"
"Hmm? Toh?"
"Toh main ye soch raha tha ki kya tum shaadi ke liye tayyaar ho?"
I knew she felt quite shy but overcomed that and said,"Agar ye proposal tha toh world ka sabse unromantic proposal tha!"
"Oh hello, Ms.Khargosh, ye proposal nahin tha! Main toh just pooch raha tha! Aur Devrath Dixit jab propose karega na, toh woh world ka sabse Romantic proposal hoga, okay?"
"Dekhte hain."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I mean, ki ghar aa gaya hai, aami jaachhi. Bye!"
"Hmm, bye!"
I do not know what drama is waiting for me at home today! Let's hope for the best! *fingers crossed*
