Chapter 33(Part 1)

(Dev's P.O.V)

"Dev, chalein?"Sonakshi asked, Of course, she was still getting ready for the party! You know,na? Girls take a lot of time to get ready!

"Pehle tum toh dhang se ready ho jaao!"

"Dev! Already itna late ho gaya hai. I know hamaari seats fixed hain par phir bhi! We need to hurry!"

"Okay,okay meri Kolkata express! Chalo!"

"Ek minute!" 

"???" I was confused because i thought that Sonakshi still has to wear some of her jewellery! Girls are complicated! When I followed her, I figured out that she went inside just to take Maa's ashirwaad! I smiled. Literally, girls are complicated, but I love this complication of Sonakshi.

She saw me when I was adoring her. She clicked twice in front of my face and said,"Chalein, Dev?"

"Han. Han chalo!" It felt as if someone has awakened me from my sleep. 

We entered the car and everyone wished us a good luck. 

We reached the venue in around half-an-hour. Wow! What a lovely venue it was! It had a wonderful or a massive stage! We had our seats booked in the front with our names written on a page and pasted there "Dr. Sonakshi Bose Dixit" and "Mr. Dev Dixit". We settled in for this wonderful function called "Style Film Awards". Yes, we were at an award function and Sonakshi has been nominated too! 

The function started. There were many celebrities whom I was seeing for the first time because, of course, I heard about them from my friends and colleagues but was not able to identify them by their faces. There were many jokes performed by different comedians of the bollywood industry!

And at last, the moment I was waiting for..... The award for "The best Debut singer- female" came up! They showed all the nominations and when Sonakshi's name came, I hugged her tight and held her hand because I know that she was nervous then!

"And the award goes to...." 

Dhup-lup-dhup-lup-dhup-lup! Our hearts were beating fast as ever! Sonakshi's hand still in my hand and me ready to get up in order to congratulate her. I know she will win this but I myself am nervous toh abhi console karun bhi toh kaise???

"Dr. Sonakshi Bose DIxit for "Pyaar ke rangon mein rangi hun main toh"!!! Congratulations Dr.Bose!!!!!"

WHat???? Sonakshi won it! I was super happy and jumped in excitement! I went ahead to hug her but....

BUMP!!!!!!!!

I fell off my bed! Oh God! Was it a dream?

"Dev? Ki holo? Aap theek toh hain?" Sonakshi asked.

"Han. Ouch!"I guess i hurt my head with that stupid chest-of-drawers kept right in front of me.

"Dev! Tumi Ekdom Impossible! Aise gir kaise gaye,huh? Maine abhi 5 minute pehle aapko dekha tha, tab toh ekdum theek the aur chehre pe badi si smile thi. Ki holo, Dev? Aisa kaunsa sapna dekh rahe the jo itna Smile kar rahe the, hmm?"

"Sapna?"

"Han, kyun? Bhool gaye?"

"Shut up! Dev Dixit kuch nahin bhoolta sapna bhi nahin!"

"Oh, toh bataayenge nahin apna sapna?"

"Hmm." I thought of playing with her and gave her a mischevious look! "Apna Sapna Money Money!"

"Literally Dev? Already itna paisa kama chuke hain, you are one of the richest people of India, aur phir bhi aapko aur paise kamaane hain?"

"Choddo, Sonakshi, tum nahin samjhogi!" 

I pulled her closer which made her blush.

"Paise kamaana chahta hun, taaki tum,main hamaari family aur future mein hone vaali meri tiny-Sonakshi ko woh saari khushiyan de sakun jo tum log deserve karte ho!"

"Dev!"

"Sonakshi"

"Dev beta!! Jaldi neeche aao! Pandit ji aa gaye hain. Neha ki shaadi ki muhurat tay karna hai!" Maa shouted from outside.

"H-H-Han Maa, aaya!" I left Sonakshi when Maa suddenly opened the door! 

"Arey,Dev, tu zameen pe kyun leta hua hai? Achcha khaasa bistar hai toh sahi!" 

Me and Sona looked at each other and I could sense her giggling. 

"Achcha, woh sab choddo! Sonakshi beta, tum neeche aa jao! Dev tu jaldi fresh hoke neeche aaja, hmm?"

"Theek hai, Maa" Me and Sona said it simultaneously. 

Sonakshi went downstairs whereas I went to freshen up. 

Don't worry, Sonakshi! Aaj hi jaa ke main Baba se baat karungi so that this dream of mine is fulfilled! Dream of ours is fulfilled! Ab hum shaadi-shuda hain! Ye dream sirf Dev ya Sonakshi ka nahin, balki Devakshi ka hai! Nobody can stop it from being executed! But, right now, I need to focus on what the Pandit has to say for Neha's marriage. 

I went downstairs to know about the discussions and after hearing the Pandit, i felt like killing him!!!!

Pandit ne aisa kya bola jo Dev ko itna gussa aa gaya?  And Bijoy and Sonakshi ko jab Dev ke sapne ke baare mein oata chalega, toh kya hoga??? To find out, wait for the next part...
