Dipper's POV
I awoke to the sound of Pacifica and Mabel talking downstairs. They're really loud.
I decided to go down and see what all of this was about, but when I went down I saw a laughing Mabel and a blushing Pacifica.
"Uh oh," I whispered out loud.
"Oh, Dipper, guess what!" Mabel cheered, "I told Pacifica!"
"You what?!" I blurted out.
"Yep! Now you two can be boyfriend and girlfriend and neither of you have to confess your love to each other because I did it for you," Mabel proudly stated.
"So, it's true?" Pacifica gulped while blushing madly.
"...yes" I confessed while pulling my hat down so that she couldn't see my red face.
"I leave you two alone," Mabel winked.
"S-so...um...would you, maybe, want to go on a d-date with m-me," I stuttered. Why am I getting nervous?
"Y-yeah, that w-would be fun," she replied.
I took her to the diner because there isn't much more that I can afford.
We kept our relationship a secret from everyone, for a little over a week, except Mabel, of course. Today, however, is the day I ask her to be my girlfriend.
I took Pacifica to a romantic picnic in a beautiful opening in the woods.
"Wow, Dipper. I'm speechless," she marveled.
After we were done eating, I took her to a cave I found. I told her that the cave was filled with priceless diamonds and jewels. What she didn't know was that I came here earlier, found the perfect crystal, and made it into a necklace for her. I even engraved a little heart in it.
"Dipper, this is breathtaking," Pacifica murmured.
"Here," I said as she turned around. "I want you to have this." I gave her the necklace.
"Oh my god, you didn't have to do this for m-" I cut her off.
"I know, I wanted to." The lighting was perfect, the mood was set, she was as beautiful as ever. It was now or never, Dipper. "Pacifica Northwest, would you do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend?" I nervously asked.
She didn't answer. What should I d- My thoughts were interrupted by Pacifica kissing me. We kissed for about a minute until I broke it.
"I'll take that as a yes," I smirked.
"Shut up and kiss me, you dummy," she giggled.
We got home and Mabel completely went full fan girl when she found out.
"DIPCIFICA! DIPCIFICA! DIPCIFICA!" Mabel chanted around the whole town. Word travels fast once Mabel finds out.
Later that day, there was a knock on our door.
"I'll get it!" Pacifica called. "What are you doing here?" Pacifica spat out.
"What is the meaning of this!" Preston Northwest said with a disgusted tone. He was referring to the flyer in his hand. It was a picture of me and Pacifica and it said that we're dating. Seriously, Mabel?! You made flyers? Well, now I know that if her screaming around town didn't work, her flyers did.
"Do you have a problem?" I asked while walking up to the door and putting my arm around Pacifica.
"Yes! I do have a problem! Pacifica Elise Northwest, I am done with this nonsense! Come back home right this instant!"
"I am home, the Mystery Shack is my home. And why do you all the sudden care about me, huh!? I've been gone for months and you didn't even acknowledge me! So why don't you go back home, Preston!" She said his name like dirt.
"That's it! We're going!" He pulled her arm but she yanked back.
"No, you're going! I'm staying in the one place where I'm actually loved!" I thought Pacifica was ready to punch him.
That's when Preston snapped. He raised his hand and, as hard as he could, he went to slap Pacifica.
"Pacifica!" I warned but that didn't matter. I pushed her out of the way and took the hit. It stung but I didn't care about that. "You can't treat my girlfriend like that!" I hollered.
And on that note, I punched him right in the jaw and kicked him right off our porch.
"You better hope I never see your face again!" I slammed the door and helped Pacifica up. She had a look of shock across her face. "Are you okay?" I asked with concern.
"Am I okay? Look at you! You're bleeding, Dipper."
She took me to the bathroom and cleaned me up.
"You didn't have to do that, you know," she informed. "I can handle a little hit."
"A little hit? He would've broken your jaw, Pacifica."
"Yeah...I wouldn't be surprised if you broke his jaw, though!" She complimented. She brought me into a hug. "Thanks."
"You're welcome," was all I said.
We stayed like that for what felt like forever until Mabel interrupted us.
"Hey, is everything okay?" Mabel asked.
"Oh yeah, Preston just showed up," I answered. "But it's okay."
"Really?" She rolled her eyes. "Then what happened to your face?" She pressed.
"I took the hit for Pacifica," I simply said.
"But you should see Preston! Man, Dipper beat him up until he was black and blue! It was great!" Pacifica shouted.
"Wow, Dip, I didn't know you had that in you!" Mabel cheered. "Would you say Pacifica brings out the best in you???" I was afraid of this.
"Okay, Mabel, now it's just awkward. Goodbye!" I said while pushing her out. On her way out she wouldn't stop chanting Dipcifica. She is so irritating sometimes.
The rest of the day was full of just watching really bad movies on TV, but I'm glad I got to do it with Pacifica.
