Chapter Eleven

Piper slowly made her way into the gas station, pushing nearly thirty weeks she was tired, her body ached in places she didnt even know existed and both boys were active all the time

Being midnight she needed to have some pickles, Jax wasn't home he wouldn't be home until the day after tomorrow he hated that he was leaving her alone but she pushed him to go anyway, she mainly just needed to be left alone instead of feeling suffocated like she has been the past eight weeks

"Hey Piper" the cashier said

"Hey Louise" Piper said making her way over to the food stand

"Pickles again?" Louise asked

"Every dang night" Piper said grabbing two handfuls of pickles

"Jax hasn't been in for a few days is everything alright?" Louise asked as she started ringing up pickles

"Yeah he's been out of town that's all" Piper said holding her stomach, the Braxton Hicks contractions had been bothering her alot yesterday and today

"Are you okay?" Louise asked watching Piper wince

"Yeah... But listen go out to my truck and get my phone, find Jaxs number and tell him it's time" Piper said gripping the counter

"Oh god... Oh god do I call 911?" Louise panicked

"You give me the store phone and I'll call you just call Jax" Piper said holding her hand out for the phone

Jax was sipping on a beer in Nevada when his phone rang, he had already spoke to Piper a few hours ago when she said she was going to bed

"Hey babe" Jax said sneaking away from the noise

"Jax it's Louise from Carl's, Piper's water just broke she said get back her like now" Louise said into the phone

"Let me guess she came to get pickles?" Jax asked

"Yup, she said hurry Jax" Louise said

"I'm on my way tell her please" Jax said hanging up

Running back into the club he found d Chibs

"Chibs I gotta go Piper's water just broke" Jax said

"Go, I'll be right behind you" Chibs said standing up and walking out after Jax

Piper had never experienced a pain like this before when she went into labor with Thomas it was quick and easy luckily the ambulance got to her quickly and she was currently being hooked up to monitors

"Piper boys wanna come a little early yeah?" Dr Jenson said walking into the room

"Something like that. Are they gonna be okay? I mean I'm barely thirty weeks here doc" Piper said

"That's why we are gonna check them out after I see how dialated you are" Dr Jenson said putting some gloves on

"Well looks like your only at about two centimeters" Dr Jenson said removing his gloves

"So it's gonna be a while still?" Piper asked

"I'm gonna do an ultrasound and check them out and make sure there is no distress, where's Jax? I expected to see him here" Dr Jenson said looking around

"He's on his way he was in Nevada for work" Piper said

"Good he wouldn't want to miss the birth of his babies" he said

"He better get here soon" Piper muttered

Jax was driving as fast as he could, he was a little upset that Piper went out to the store in the middle of the night but then again he couldn't be upset with her at the same time because if she was home and wasn't able to get to her phone then something serious could of happened.

He saw the sign to st Thomas in the distance speeding up he wanted to make sure he got to Piper in time and it wasn't too late

Running up the stairs as apposed to the elevator that was taking forever Jax burst into Piper's room to see her laying peacefully he walked over and kissed her forehead

Fluttering her eyes open

"Glad you could join me" Piper smiled

"You look high as shit babe" Jax laughed

"They gave me the good shit for pain" Piper laughed

"How's the progress?" Jax asked touching her belly

"They have to take me in for a c section soon if I don't dialate anymore" Piper frowned

"It will be okay babe I'll be right there beside you" Jax said touching her hair

"Good, I couldn't do it without you" Piper smiled

Dr Jenson walked into the room and informed them that Piper would be going on for a c section shortly, Jax by Piper's side and assured her that she would be okay and he wasn't leaving her side through the whole thing

"Just keep your eyes on me the entire time and you'll be okay babe" Jax said as the doctors began the surgery

"Can we decide on names now?" Piper asked

"Of course twin A should be Abel like you wanted" Jax smiled

"And twin B?" Piper asked

"John just like you wanted" Piper smiled back at him

"Perfect, were going to have a perfect family finally" Jax said peaking over the curtian nearly throwing up his dinner as he saw Piper's entire insides out of her body

"Finally, we need this Jax" Piper said

"That we do babe" Jax smiled when suddenly he heard a cry

Piper tried picking her head up to see the baby but the nurse put her head back down

"It's a boy!" Dr Jenson said holding the baby over the curtian for Piper to see

"That's nice" Piper said laying her head back down Jax looked down at her and knew something was wrong. She had been waiting for weeks to meet her son's and all she could say was that's nice

"Babe you OK down there?" Jax asked touching her face noticing it was cool to the touch and the monitor starting to beep

"Doc is she supposed to be cold?" Jax asked

The nurse walked over to Piper and looked up at Dr Jenson

"Jax your gonna have to get out of the way" Dr Jenson instructed as he began cutting the other babies sac and the nurse began making a call to another doctor

"No what's going on?" Jax panicked

"Heart rates dropping, she's not getting any oxygen. We need to intubate" the nurse said

"JAX! GET OUT" Dr Jenson yelled

One of the nurses pushed Jax towards the door as he heard another cry turning around with tears streaming down his face as the doctors and nurses rushed around Piper with tools he had never seen before. Watching his children get passed around and wheeled out the door before he could even look at them.

"We're losing her!" Dr Jenson yelled before Jax was pushed out of the room
