Chapter Twenty

Jax rolled out of bed and went in search of Piper, finding her in the kitchen with his father Jax still couldn't believe that his dad was standing before him

"Morning Son, I made breakfast" John said setting a plate of chocolate chip pancakes. Jaxs childhood favorite

"Tastes just like it used to" Piper said shoveling more in her mouth

Jax raised an eyebrow and sat down cutting a slice his eyes never leaving his father's

Taking a bite Jax closed his eyes and remembered Saturday mornings where John's morning to cook breakfast in the Teller household

"Gemmas pancakes have nothing on these" Jax said to Piper

"This is exactly how I remember you two, always the first ones up for Saturday breakfast" John said

"Where's Maureen and Trinity?" Jax asked

"They went to her mother's for a few days, I didn't want to bombard you with everything" John said

"I'd like to get to know my sister, I never had one" Jax said

"I can arrange that for later today. Listen I'm sorry" John said

"Stop apologizing there's no need" Jax said putting his hand up

"So we're good?" John asked

"For the moment yes, when I actually snap out of it and realize this isn't all a dream then you'll know" Jax said

"Good I'm glad" John said

After meeting with Trinity and Maureen for dinner Piper and Jax knew it was time to get headed back home, thier weekend get away turned into a unexpected trip across the world

After promising to stay in contact with John through emails and text messages Piper and Jax boarded the plane home

"Still not sure what to think?" Piper asked putting her head on Jaxs shoulder

"No I'm still in awe I still have a few mixed emotions about this babe" Jax said

"We'll get through this together Jax" Piper smiled

"I can always count on you darlin'" Jax said kissing Piper

Chibs met Jax at the house after they picked up the kids

Piper fed them a quick dinner and sent them off to bed while Chibs caught Jax up to speed fr club business from the past few days

"How is the old man?" Chibs asked

"Old, but good" Jax said

"I'm sorry I never told you Jackie" Chibs said

"I understand now why at first I didn't get it but I do now, if I didn't have a family to protect then I probably wouldn't get it" Jax said sipping a beer

"Just please don't tell your mother she will probably have a heart attack" Chibs said

"I'm not telling her don't worry we did discuss a family trip out there, Piper and I" Jax said

" I think its a good idea John knows his grandkids" Chibs said

"I think so too, I'd like to get to know my father again as well" Jax said

"He hasn't changed Jackie" Chibs smiled

One year later

Jax walked out of the terminal with John hot on his heels, excited to go home and see his mother. John spent two months in Belfast with his grandfather and was more excited to go home and see Piper, Jax was too. He had been away from home for the last two weeks he missed the kids and Piper but spending two weeks with his father was what he needed

"Daddy can we stop and get mommy a present?" John said

"Nah not today dude I missed mommy to much i wanna go home and see her" Jax said walking over to his newer truck that Piper had gotten him for a anniversary present

After making sure John was secured tightly into his seat Jax took off for a long ride home

Piper waited anxiously at the door for Jax, Abel and Abby were upstairs playing in tbeirbtooms not having a care in the world that thier father and youngest brother were on thier way home

Jax opened the door, dropped his bags and threw his arms around Piper's waist smothering her with his mouth

"Mmhmm I missed you so much babe" Jax said as Piper nuzzled her face in his neck

"Me too, I'll show you how much I missed you later" Piper said moving her hips towards jax

"I'll call Brooke over here right now, I've been waiting two weeks for you" Jax said pushing himself towards her

"Do it, I'll be upstairs waiting" Piper said running up the stairs

Thirteen years later

Jax walked into the house in search of something. Walking into the home he shared with his family after not living there for the last three years. He needed to find a book that John needed for his English class. Blowing the dust off the bookcase that Piper had placed and organized so neatly.

He missed her, so much. Piper got shot a few years ago by Gemma, who eventually found out that John Teller was alive, Gemma being Gemma thought that it was Piper that made Jax keep the secret so Gemma shot her point blank in the head leaving Jax to find her on the kitchen floor.

Jax moved out with the kids to a similar house in Stockton to get away from Charming, after a while he realized that it wasn't a place for his children to grow up.

Abby dealt with it the hardest and still is, being the fresh eighteen she was currently sitting in a women's correctional facility for arson,

Abel was in college to be a criminal justice lawyer, he always used to say he wished he had the power to help people get justice. It took all of Piper's savings to put him through.

John, he was such a great kid. He had all A's and still helped his father at the garage. John already had plans to prospect for Jax once he turns eighteen where John will become the first youngest Teller to take the throne.

John Teller moved back to the states after Piper was murdered to help Jax with the kids. Maureen and Trinity came with him and John helped Jackson turn the club around to earn legit and get out of the drug cartel.

After Jax grabbed the books he needed he decided to make a trip to the cemetery

"Hey babe. I know I haven't been by much I've been busy with John he's doing real good in school. You would be so proud of your baby boy. I'm sorry that your not here to watch him grow like you always wanted too. Abby has three years left before she's out and promised that she will stay out of trouble. I'm being a good dad and saving her job for her at the shop because no one will hire her. Abel he's doing good too you'd be just as proud as I am. I miss you so much Piper you have no idea. I miss your laugh and your snotty comments. I love you Piper it's been three years now and I'm still struggling to live my life without you. But. Working on it. I'll always stay safe and make sure the kids make you proud" Jax said

Kissing the headstone he picked out himself he walked away from the person he loved the most.
